    Job Summary:#To perform a variety of technical, clerical, and related duties in connection with the activities of the hospital pharmacy with high level efficiency; demonstrates proficiency in a minimum of two pharmacy competency areas (medication distribution, non-hazardous sterile compounding, hazardous sterile compounding, OR pharmacy support, and/or medication reconciliation); utilizes automation to credit or charge medications to patient accounts; fill requisitions and deliver drugs to nursing units; assist in checking, ordering, and storing floor stock items; and dispense medications under direct supervision of a pharmacist. ## Qualifications:##Completion of 12th grade (high school or equiv). Six months of hospital pharmacy work experience required; 12 months preferred. Ability to perform a minimum of two pharmacy competency skills with high level efficiency (medication distribution, non-hazardous sterile compounding, hazardous sterile compounding, OR pharmacy support, and/or medication reconciliation). Ability to participate in the training of new pharmacy technicians. Some typing skills; Annual Registration with the NC State Board of Pharmacy is required. # A new Pharmacy Technician hired but not already registered with the NC Board has 30 days from hire date to comply. Summary: Provides safe and timely transport of medical crew and patients. Work may involve routine transport or may be performed under stressful situations requiring quick transport. Utilizes the ground operator's communication book daily. 2. Completes all preventative maintenance. The Medication History Technician is responsible for interviewing patients to obtain a medication history of patients admitted to Pardee Hospital. The technician will also be responsible to make use of available resources to verify the accuracy of a medication list. Responsibilities: - Conducts an appropriate and respectful interview of the patient (or family member if necessary), contacting outside healthcare providers and pharmacies when necessary to clarify/verify patient reported lists, and documents communications in the EMR. - Accurately records current medications (prescription and OTC), supplements, vitamins, vaccines, and herbal remedies in the EMR. Communicates to the providers or Pharmacists any missing information or details that may be of importance. Refers all clinical questions to a Pharmacist or provider, whichever is appropriate. - Collaborates with provider staff to identify, clarify and communicate missing or clinically significant patient history information. - Records or updates medication allergies and any adverse reactions into the EMR. - Consistently demonstrates good time management by making priorities, working in an efficient and productive manner, and reducing non-essential interruptions to maintain efficient workflow in order to complete medication histories in a timely manner. - Performs other duties as assigned and readily accepts direction from management, responding in a prompt and positive manner.
