Carolina Air Care is a CAMTS accredited critical care and emergency transportation agency serving North Carolina and surrounding areas since 1986. Our assets are comprised of four helicopters as well as a fleet of ambulances dispatched by our communications center "Flightwatch" ‐ all operating 24 hours a day Helicopter bases are located in Burlington, Aberdeen, Goldsboro, and Rocky Mount. Rotor wing aircraft are staffed with one nurse and one paramedic. They respond to both emergency scene requests as well as interfacility transfers of critically ill patients Our ground assets are located throughout the Triangle. In addition to the Critical Care Transport teams for the majority of our missions, we also have two dedicated Neonatal Specialty Care Teams, which care for our smallest patients. Utilizes the ground operator's communication book daily. 2. Completes all preventative maintenance. Ensures adequate fuel in vehicles performs daily checks of vehicles and maintains cleanliness of ambulances. Maintains familiarity with vehicle safety manuals. 3. Completes logs, checklists and reports related to activities, vehicle status and maintenance. Ensures continuity of service by participating in shift change debriefings. 4. Maintains awareness of road conditions and entire response area, sharing knowledge of changing conditions with co‐workers. 6. Responsibilities: * Supports daily Pharmacy operations, including but not limited to the following: * Utilizes technology to pull medications for accurate dispensing and inventory control * Communicates inventory concerns or special needs to the purchasing agent * Accurately completes controlled substance documentation * Repackages medications compliant with local policy * Assists nurses/clinical staff with Pyxis questions * Sterile compounding of intravenous medications * Non-sterile compounding of oral medications * Maintains an organized and effective work environment * Avoids errors through high attention to detail to prevent undesirable clinical outcomes * Uses an array of business systems on a stationary computer workstation * Delivers medications to patient care units in a timely manner * Maintain efficient workflow and timely dispensing of patient medications * Takes direction from pharmacist staff regarding clinical concerns/questions PARDEE Other information: Qualifications Required * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Must have basic arithmetic skills including but not limited to multiplication, ratios, and percentages.
