Sign on bonus up to $13,000 (depending on experience) # Job Summary:# To set up and manage various types of respiratory therapy equipment including the various oxygen delivery systems, nebulizers, , BiPAP/CPAPs, and mechanical ventilation. Manage protocols and administer prescribed doses of respiratory therapy inhaled drugs to inpatients and outpatients.
Ability to perform arterial sticks for blood gas analysis and various bedside procedures to assess pulmonary status.
# Qualifications:# #Completion of an approved respiratory therapy program and licensed#as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of North Carolina.
The RRT credential is required for employment.
(RCPs with a Provisional license from the NCRCB must obtain RRT credential within 12 months of employment).

May Perform all aspects of ventilator care to include, but not limited to setting up the ventilator and verifying function using specialized ventilator modes to manage the patients disease process. Provide for an appropriate monitoring of these patients and provide appropriate weaning techniques.

"Carolina Air Care is a CAMTS accredited critical care and emergency transportation agency serving North Carolina and surrounding areas since 1986. Our assets are comprised of four helicopters as well as a fleet of ambulances dispatched by our communications center "Flightwatch" - all operating 24 hours a day.
Helicopter bases are located in Burlington, Aberdeen, Goldsboro, and Rocky Mount. Rotor wing aircraft are staffed with one nurse and one paramedic. 1. Administers standard Respiratory Care including but not limited to, aerosol medication delivery, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, oxygen therapy, arterial cannulation and arterial punctures. Aids in training new staff members, students and new physicians. Provides in-services as required. May assume Charge Therapist responsibilities.
