The Carpenter is a skilled craftsman to construct or repair homes and other facilities throughout Southeast Alaska using a variety of hand and power tools. Installs weatherization or mold prevention improvements to reduce home energy consumption and improve home air quality. II. Authority: Reports to DCM Project Superintendent or designee. III. Duties and Responsibilities: Performs detailed residential carpentry work at the direction of project superintendent or project coordinator. Framing of walls; hanging drywall; install exterior siding; installing cabinets; installing insulation; adding fixtures and finishes; install windows; install lighting; determine size and material needs and using power equipment to cut to size; Perform carpentry techniques to reduce home/building energy consumption.
