Carpenter - Historic Restoration
Worcester Eisenbrandt (WEI), a historic restoration construction company, is seeking an experienced Carpenter to work throughout the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) metropolitan area. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and paid time off.
Job Responsibilities
Proven experience as a carpenter.
Mark cutting and assembly lines using pencils, chalk, and marking gauges.
Shape materials to precise measurements using saws, chisels, planes, and related tools.
Assemble cut and shaped materials using nails, dowels, pins, or adhesives.
Verify structural integrity using levels, plumb bobs, and related tools.
Install commercial window frames, doors, frames, weatherstripping, and interior/exterior hardware (locks, kick plates, letter drops, etc.).
Perform restoration of wood cornices, doors, windows, and other wood components.
Must be able to perform Dutchman repairs.
Install restored architectural elements on site.
Construct forms and chutes for concrete placement.
Erect scaffolding and ladders for elevated work.
Assist with tasks related to concrete and masonry as needed.
Ability to work overtime when required.
Projects primarily located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Physical Requirements
Dependable, reliable, and able to meet job responsibilities consistently.
Perform physically demanding work, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Ability to perform coordinated hand and arm movements to assemble, manipulate, or grasp objects.

Able to wear required PPE: safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, etc.

Job Overview
The Roofing Carpenter performs general roofing maintenance including minor repairs. This role is inclusive of lightning protection inspections and associated minor repairs. Work involves: planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments, and making standard computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. The work requires rounded training and experience from an apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Perform maintenance and repair work on various types of roofing systems, i.e. metal, pitched and tar material.
* Performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance to roofing and lightning protection systems.
* Assists maintenance carpentry team as needed.
* Plan, organize work and meet all deadlines. Able to do a variety of tasks in any single day.
* Coordinates with other trade and warehouse personnel in the identification of proper and correct materials, parts assemblies and requirements for a variety of requisitions necessary for the job/task.
* Respond to emergency site maintenance as required.
* Able to inspect and diagnose problems to determine corrective repairs.
* Perform on call and preventive maintenance duties as necessary.
* Assists with periodic stock inventories and prepares material requisitions for replacement items.
* Required to safely operate customer and company motor vehicles and/or other equipment.
* Will be required to perform various lower classified duties such as (but not limited to) file maintenance, workspace cleanup, maintain warehouse space and telephone answering as required.

Job Requirements
