**Role Summary**
The Carpenter 1 will be responsible for performing general carpentry and concrete tasks on a variety of construction projects including new construction, renovations, and other project types. Carpenters utilize a variety of tools and specialized equipment. Duties may include concrete, rough, and finish carpentry. Role responsibilities are not all encompassing as specific work tasks, project types, and build phases drastically vary. This is a broad representation of the type of tasks and requirements required of Carpenters at JE Dunn. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

**Key Role Responsibilities - Core**
_CARPENTER FAMILY - CORE_
+ Working knowledge of all concrete tools and carpentry hand tools.
+ Basic understanding and use of principles of layout and construction math as necessary per project needs.
+ Sets forms for concrete including but not limited to foundations, SOG, bulkheads.
+ Placement of concrete with bucket, chute, pump and placement procedures, agitation etc.
+ Basic acceptable finishing of concrete with floats and trowels (columns/walls/foundations).
+ Cleans and maintains concrete and forming tools.
+ Proficiency with the basic elements of framing or forming.
+ Installation of in-wall and roof blocking/general carpentry.

Job Summary: The Commercial Carpenter I is responsible for all phases of commercial construction, remodels, general labor, and other construction needs as assigned.
Primary Tasks:
Complete work orders to build, repair, maintain, and improve facilities while working with other team members and trades in an occupied facility.
Perform and assist in commercial carpentry work including selective demolition, metal/wood framing, drywall installation and finishing, installation and modification of various flooring materials, painting, door and hardware installation and alterations.
Participate in the erection and build out of pre-engineered metal buildings.
Assist with exterior site work, including selective demolition, excavation, and grading using various hand tools and electronic equipment. Work also includes setting forms, placing rebar, and placing and finishing concrete.
Assist in locksmith tasks, such as repairing locks, closures, and installing or upgrading door hardware and access systems.
Assist in installing specialty items such as toilet partitions, restroom accessories, corner guards, wall protection, and fire extinguisher cabinets, etc.
Perform multi-phase or integrated renovation projects under supervision.
Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.
Have knowledge of reading blueprints and specifications.
Promote job site safety and cleanliness. Promptly report hazards, incidents, or emergencies, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Other duties may be assigned.

Must possess a general knowledge of reading blueprints and specifications
