We are looking for a qualified Apprentice Carpenter to cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. An Apprentice Carpenter is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials.
Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products.
Responsibilities:
The Apprentice Carpenter is expected to use good judgment and proactive problem solving skills as an overall approach to his/her work.
Promote an attitude of customer service among other field personnel by setting a good example of service and respect for clients, sub-contractors and fellow team members.
The Apprentice Carpenter is responsible for assisting in the completion of all carpentry work including frame carpentry, deconstruction, exterior trim and interior trim, and other tasks required at various times
In some cases, an Apprentice Carpenter will be working on specialized kitchen and bath type projects. In these cases, the Apprentice may also be responsible for assisting in the execution of items such as tile installation, drywall, painting, plumbing, electric, HVAC, etc.
The Carpenter Apprentice is responsible for assisting in the training and growth of other team members whenever possible. This can be as simple as setting a good example of work practices or as inclusive as leading a short skills lesson. Assist in keeping track of and help in the maintenance of company owned tools to minimize loss or damage.
Work with the team to maintain time and material information related to changes or time and material work being completed. Ensure that building materials are stored neatly and protected from theft and the elements to reduce loss. Any other work that is needed to complete projects assigned to his authority.
Attend all scheduled company meetings when requested.
Keep the job sites safe for all workers, customers and visitors to the site.
Regulate the access of visitors to the site during work hours and when he feels that it is necessary for their safety.
Install and maintain finish and property protection throughout the project timeframe.
Make sure the site is cleaned daily and all debris is placed in dumpsters or garbage cans every day.
Communicate with the Project Manager and/or Production Manager to keep a supply of personal protective equipment for use by all team members.
Make regular inspections of company ladders, scaffolding, etc., to ensure that it stays in safe working order.
Report any equipment that is damaged and not safe for use and take it out of use by labeling or disposal.
Skills:
Proven experience as an Apprentice Carpenter/Laborer
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
Ability to read technical documents and drawings
Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
Good knowledge of English
Good understanding of basic math
Good physical condition and endurance
High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required

LICENSES/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum 5-8 years full time experience as a carpenter.
2. Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
3. Must possess a Valid Massachusetts State driver's license.
4. Must pass a CORI/SORI Background check.
5. Must possess a valid Massachusetts riggers license.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
2. Required to work at heights or in narrow spaces to service equipment.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to immediately fill the position of Carpentry/Installer. Carpentry/Installers are responsible for the installation of products in a safe, high quality, productive, and profitable fashion. Demonstrate a commitment to client satisfaction by communicating what is necessary in a genuinely friendly and professional fashion. Operate company vehicles, tools, etc. in a safe manner
Benefits
22 to 25 per hour to start

Responsibilities
Help install custom closets and cabinets at customer homes.
Follow basic drawings or instructions to assist with setup.
Use hand and power tools safely (training provided).
Measure, cut, and fit materials with guidance from lead carpenter.
Assist with mounting shelves and leveling parts.
Keep job sites clean and organized during and after installation.
Job Requirements
Customer oriented, friendly and enthusiastic
Reliable, punctual with good work ethic
Possess and maintain current drivers license
Good driving record
Operate company vehicle in safe manner
Closet, garage, office installation experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
