Install retail fixtures, cabinetry and millwork set refrigeration cases, and install décor packages using finish carpentry skills
By the 90-day mark and ongoing:
Guide team of Assistant Carpenters to efficiently install materials while following appropriate and safe procedures
Create and maintain job schedule and ensure that work is done to quality standards, original plans, and specs, and meets all deadlines
Demonstrate general safety knowledge, wearing appropriate safety equipment, using tools safely and remains accident-free
Within the 6th to 12th-month mark and ongoing:
Start running small projects by overseeing sub-trades and carpenters, and is willing whenever needed to jump in and do the work
Communicate with clients/inspectors/city officials a few times a day to stay updated on critical steps to move the project forward
Show integrity, compassion, and empathy when dealing with clients that embodies the culture at EWBI
Display pride in work and craftsmanship and encourages the same work ethic in Assistant Carpenters
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
10+ years' carpentry experience
3+ years' retail carpentry experience
Able to read blueprints and knowledgeable in construction methods
Can perform general physical tasks common to carpentry position (lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, bending, standing, climbing, repetitive motion, use of hand tools)
Previous experience in the ability to layout, plan and execute interior and exterior carpentry a plus
Computer skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Power-point, Word)

Job Description:To perform this job an individual must be able to understand the full scope of work of any assigned job and successfully complete the required tasks with minimal supervision. Tasks include constructing, installing, repairing, and fabricating structures (primarily wood) to protect ship's equipment, outfitting the drydock with docking blocks, and outfitting ships in accordance with specifications and drawings. QUALIFICATIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Must possess the skill sets of subordinate grades of the labor class.
-Must be able to interpret and work from drawings, job specifications, instruction manuals, manufacturer's handbooks, change orders, and contract specifications.
-Must possess a thorough understanding of equipment and work processes used in marine carpentry, joiner, and drydock blocking operations.

Able to travel and be away from home for durations from 2-8 weeks depending on our contract.
Must provide own basic hand tools and cordless drill.
Requirements:
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Able to complete onsite millwork, cabinet and countertop, fixture, graphic and décor installs in commercial and retail environments
· Personnel management of various crew sizes ranging from 3-6 employees or larger projects of 8 or more employees
· Able to receive, stage and manage large inventory of millwork and fixture parts for distribution and installation
· Able to assess site conditions, construction and delivery schedules and when these factors are not aligned, clearly and effectively communicate to Project Management Team, onsite contractor or when necessary, our Client
· Able to establish and understand layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements
· Must be able to represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Adopt and embrace our company Core Values
· Report time sheets, expense reports, daily reports and progress photos electronically. Generate additional work validations as required when non-contract scope is required.
· Perform all tasks of a finish carpenter including installation of cabinets, countertops, standing and running trim (base, chair rail, crown moldings, door and window casings), scribing, coping, installing wall panel systems, retail fixtures etc.
· Ability to manage and motivate others while maintaining professionalism
· Able to professionally interact with client, general contractors and other sub0contractors
· Working knowledge of woodworking hand and power tools
· Strong working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings, shop drawings and fixture plans
· Must have a strong commitment to job site safety including maintaining a clean jobsite at all times
