This position is responsible for assisting in the general operations of box culvert and/or bridge construction projects. Workmanship must meet the specifications of the project under supervision of the onsite foreman and project management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Carpenters will perform various carpentry tasks involving physical labor and the use of hand or power tools box culvert and bridge construction projects.
Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a tape measurer, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
Verify layout and elevations of a structure, using a transit or level.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS

Knowledge in operating tools required to perform job duties.
Ability to read a tape measure and do basic math.
Skill in lifting and moving materials, 50+ lbs.
Ability to be on feet continuously throughout the day.

The finish carpenter will be responsible for assisting in the installation of cabinets, doors, base trim, casing trim, different types of flooring, and some drywall and painting as is needed. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a finish carpenter.

Install door and door frames.
Install window and window frames.
Install door and window casing trim.
Install baseboard trim.

Install crown moldings.
Install different types of flooring.
Install different types of hardware and accessories.

This position will be responsible for building, erecting, installing, and repairing forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials to assist with a variety of construction projects. The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for training and mentoring apprentice carpenters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Fit and install window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, metal flashings, interior and exterior trim, casework, millwork, and furniture.
* Repair elements of buildings requiring repair or replacement.
* Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
* Utilize power, portable, and hand tools to perform tasks as assigned.
* Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
* Move and unload necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
* Be responsible and maintain company property such as tooling or material.
* Assist in completion of punch lists.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
