We are seeking an experienced and reliable Rough Carpenter to join our backside facilities team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of rough carpentry, including framing, sheathing, and foundation work. They will be responsible for repairing barns, stables, and other various structures. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety are essential for this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Construct, erect, and repair wooden frameworks and structures, including walls, floors, roofs, and door/window frames. Install sheathing, siding, and subfloors. Cut, shape, and install wood and other materials. Work with various hand and power tools, including saws, hammers, and nail guns. Ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes. Collaborate with other team members, including project managers and other tradespeople. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is a plus. Proven experience as a rough carpenter or similar role. Solid knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents is a plus but is not required. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Commitment to safety protocols. Adherence to safety protocols is essential when working with heavy machinery. REPORTS TO: Foreman A skilled carpenter involved in high level millwork that can be woodwork, casework, and/or ornamental metalwork. Duties & Responsibilities Installation of AWW, PL + Metal casework, fume hoods, DFH, misc. specialties. Preplanning: tools needed, materials, installation techniques that is the fastest and safest way possible. Job intel's light framing, finish trim, remodel demolition, windows, doors and cabinets replacement. Team work, Quality, Pride, Cleanliness and Reliability is a must. Responsibilities: Maintain a clean and safe work site by cleaning work areas, machines, and equipment. Perform inspections on tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper, safe working order. Perform maintenance as needed. Construction and installation of concrete forms and bracing materials. Pour and finish concrete. Ability to measure and cut materials to required size for installation. Ability to install framing, wall covering materials including installation and finishing of sheetrock, and finishing trim work. Ability to determine paint types and apply per specifications, including brush and roller applications with minor spraying abilities. Qualifications: At least three (3) years experience in the construction industry. Familiarity with common construction trade tools, including use, safety standards, and maintenance. Thorough comprehension of construction related mathematical skills, including fractional functions. Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
