Tools and equipment include wheelbarrows, handcarts, and gloves for safe handling. • Cleaning snowmaking hoses: Workers may collect, move, and clean snowmaking hoses to keep them free of ice, snow, and debris. Tools and equipment include brooms, shovels, utility knives (to cut zip ties or secure hoses), and water sources for rinsing as directed by supervisors. • Assisting customers to park and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic: Workers may guide vehicles into designated areas using reflective safety vests, handheld stop/slow paddles, or traffic cones. The Production Machine Operator /General Laborer will primarily stack, operate the stack track or drills, debarker, tag and strap lumber and will be responsible for keeping the machine areas clean at all times. The Production Machine Operator/ General Laborer will operate in a way that is efficient and productive while supporting the safety mission and standards as outlined at Kennebec Lumber Company. Responsibilities: Operate designated machine per SOP guidelines. Operate lug loaders and position lumber to optimize machine efficiency. Overseeing machine operation and flow of various lumber handling systems Operating Automatic Lumber Stacker and fixing Tags onto finished packs of lumber Strapping packs/bundles of lumber with a strapping device Maintaining facility in a clean professional condition Maintain good working relationships with all co-workers and management and follow up as needed on recommendations and /or citations.
