Job Summary:
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support IT operations within a GMP-regulated environment. This position will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for end users and specialized laboratory/manufacturing systems. Additionally, the role includes L1 infrastructure support across servers, cloud platforms, network devices, and cybersecurity tools. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, technical knowledge, and a commitment to compliance and service excellence.
Responsibilities
Provide direct and remote support for end user devices (laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets, conferencing tools).
Handle ticketing system requests and escalate as necessary.
Perform Level 1 support on on-premise/cloud servers, network, telecom, and security platforms.
Maintain laboratory and manufacturing systems in a regulated GMP environment.
Ensure compliance with cGMP standards and internal SOPs.
Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and standard business software.
Manage inventory of IT assets, including GMP endpoints and applications.
Coordinate with central IT teams to resolve escalated issues.
Support VIP users with reliable and professional IT service.
Update infrastructure documentation and IT SOPs regularly.
Provide onsite/off-hours support as needed, including crisis response.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in a GMP-compliant environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, etc.).
Knowledge of networking technologies (Routing, Switching, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS).
Experience with cybersecurity tools such as Crowdstrike, Zscaler, Zero Trust, PAM.
Hands-on knowledge of Windows 10/11, MS Office Suite, and VMware.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Apple device troubleshooting.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work in lab or telecom room environments.
Flexible to work in multi-shift schedules and respond to after-hours issues.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications
CCNP, CEH, CISSP, MCSA, or other relevant IT certifications.
Work Environment
This role is onsite at the Coral Springs, FL facility, supporting operations across the USA and Canada. The position may require occasional physical activity including lifting IT equipment.
