Remote Carrier Job
C.H. Robinson is seeking a dynamic Carrier Representative to join our team. In this role, you will develop and grow carrier relationships, leveraging our global technology platform, Navisphere, to make informed decisions and improve efficiency. You'll build strong connections with key contacts in the trucking industry, negotiate prices, and ensure exceptional service for our carriers and customers. With an average of 75-100 touch points per day, you'll secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business agreements. On Your Next Adventure, You'll:
* Develop new and grow existing carrier relationships (lead generation, calling prospective trucking companies and referrals)
* Build strong relationships with trucking company key contacts (i.e., owner operators, dispatchers and drivers)
* Leverage our global technology platform, Navisphere, along with data and other resources to make informed decisions, negotiate price, drive automation and improve efficiency
* Identify issues and work cross-functionally to determine and implement the best solution
* Maintain constant contact with carriers (average 75-100 touch points/day) to secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business agreements
* Provide exceptional service to our carriers and customers
* Ensure shipment details are accurately communicated and tracked in the system

Compensation Range

Full-desk position responsible for leveraging and cultivating the company's 3PL relationships and company assets while maximizing the company's gross margins.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Expand and grow current 3PL customer relationships.
Present value-based services and strategic solutions to new and existing 3PL customers
Negotiate customer pricing. Task to obtain avg. of 20% GM per week.
Responsible for managing and retaining a maximum of 15 Owner Operators
Communicate with drivers to ensure maximum utilization of capacity.
Coordinate drivers' schedules to meet customer shipping and delivery requirements.
Manage the daily dispatch functions for the assigned driver team according to company processes.
Utilize company's TMS to build and complete all tendered freight including the collection of load documents
Confirm that each driver is fully informed of all details for pickup and delivery including accessorial and lumper fees
Willing and Able to work remotely from home.
Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
WORK EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of current experience in 3PL environment preferred
Highly organized with strong communication skills
Must be flexible and adapt easily to rapidly changing priorities

* Attending local shows and industry showcases to evaluate potential signings.

**Samsara's Compensation Philosophy**: Samsara's compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles.
