As required by law, the Electrician must walk from the section to the main escapeway twice per year. This distance ranges from 2,000 to 12,000 feet. The Electrician works underground at a depth of 400 - 800 feet. Temperatures vary. When working near the face the temperature is fairly constant approximately 55o to 60o. While working away from the face, the Electrician would encounter temperatures that would vary depending on above-ground conditions. Near the face and on the beltline there may be wet conditions.
