The Senior Manager, MN Research Operations provides strategic leadership to the clinical, regulatory, and financial units of the assigned CRO. Directs managers/supervisors assigned to these units within the CRO by establishing and implementing operational standards and monitoring progress and compliance. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the strategic planning, organizing, and oversight of the TACRI CRO including the development of strategies for patient recruitment, compliance, performance and quality improvement, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.
Ensures the development of TACRI's clinical research infrastructure that supports the clinical research community and is consistent with expectations of NCI-designated Cancer Centers as outlined in the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) guidelines. About the Role

The Genomics Core Biomedical Specialist is responsible for carrying out wet lab procedures involving DNA/RNA isolation from various sources such as cells, tissue, FFPE curls and scrapes, and blood. In addition, they possess expertise in the complete Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflow, which includes DNA/RNA quantification and quality control (QC) analysis, manual library preparation, library quantification and QC analysis, sequencing on the Illumina platform, and analysis of sequencing metrics.
As part of their duties, the Biomedical Specialist will ensure accurate and up-to-date electronic documentation using an electronic lab notebook, project management software, and laboratory information management system. They will also manually prepare libraries for bulk cell, single cell, and spatial omics, covering transcriptomics (RNA-Seq), genomics (WGS/WES), epigenomics (WGBS, ATAC-Seq), and metagenomics (16S/ITS amplicon sequencing, shotgun).
Overall, this position involves hands-on work in a wet lab environment, focusing on DNA/RNA isolation and various aspects of the NGS workflow, as well as documentation and library preparation for different omics applications.

Qualifications:
Local Market Expertise: Thorough understanding of the local market, with established industry relationships and strong technical knowledge of water, wastewater, pipeline, stormwater, environmental, and industrial consulting.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: Proven experience with business development, relationship‑building, negotiation, and client service management, all delivered with integrity.
Team Building: Enthusiasm for fostering team collaboration, staff development, and inclusive leadership.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

About the OB/GYN Department:
The OB/GYN Department has 26 faculty members and over 140 private attendings across all Gynecological and Obstetrical specialties. The Department consists of five divisions (Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Family Planning) and has an accredited residency program with 7 residents per year and 4 accredited fellowship programs. The REI Division has 3 internationally renowned faculty members with a growing REI clinical practice, an active research program with federal grant funding, and an REI fellowship program.
Position Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include direct patient care with a primary focus on infertility as well as other reproductive endocrine related disorders at one of our off-site and on-site offices (Tarzana/Beverly Hills). Active involvement in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students expected. Participation in research is desired, but not required.

Job Description
Under the direction of the Manager, direct, supervise, and coordinate hourly personnel in a production, service, or maintenance department, with CNC machining being the primary area of responsibility, in accordance with company policy and practices, operating schedules, and controls for one or more shifts in more than one area of the plant.

Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations in accordance with company policies, operating schedules, and departmental objectives.
Oversee daily shop activities including CNC machining, manual machining, assembly, repair/service, and general production tasks.
Assign work, prioritize tasks, and provide guidance and support to employees throughout the shift.
Maintain strong oversight of CNC operations, including setup practices, tooling needs, machining methods, and issue resolution.
Monitor the use of safety devices, enforce safety protocols, and maintain a clean and hazard-free shop environment.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and development of production and machining associates.
Conduct performance evaluations, recommend wage adjustments, and support employee communications and engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with Production Control, Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering to support machining schedules, drawings, process changes, and tooling requirements.
Anticipate production or machining problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime or schedule interruptions.
Work with vendors and suppliers regarding materials, tooling, equipment, service quality, and delivery schedules.
Investigate accidents, equipment issues, and process inefficiencies; recommend improvements for safety, productivity, and cost savings.
Prepare and maintain accurate production, machining, and efficiency reports in ERP/MRP systems.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in CNC machining, assembly, repair/service, or production operations
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience in a shop or manufacturing setting
Significant hands-on CNC machining experience - CNC is the largest and most critical part of this role.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Cedars Sinai Biobank and Research Pathology (BRP) Resource, the Biomedical Scientist will oversee research pathology operations within BRP, as well as provide research pathology services to the research community at Cedars Sinai. BRP is accredited through College of American Pathologists (CAP) and is committed to high standards and best practices in biobanking, histology, research pathology, and imaging. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to enable clinical research projects and to foster collaboration with multiple research laboratories.
The successful research pathology candidate will be primarily involved in designing and building patient cohorts for research projects, pathology annotation, and generating reports for various research projects. The role involves customer-focused support for internal and external research users, providing technical expertise, guidance, and training. The individual is expected to work closely with histology, imaging, and biobanking teams within BRP and is expected to contribute to field development through effective project management and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises and performs a variety of research projects for multiple clients that will be different for each project based on the type of disease model and/or pathological conditions.
Leads research projects, plans tasks, assigns work, monitors work, identifies issues/problems, and makes plans to resolve problems. Provides expertise and guidance in designing the cohort for research projects.
Writes and reviews standard operating procedures and maintains a computer database.
Works closely with the Director in project management and customer communications
Contributes to the digital pathology program within the laboratory to facilitate the next-generation pathology annotation modules. Contributes to the development of innovative approaches in digital pathology.
Maintains compliance with institutional standards of patient privacy and safety. Ensures all activities comply with regulatory guidelines and safety standards by monitoring all ongoing activities and interacting regularly with QA and Regulatory Affairs.
Leads projects, trains, and assists in day-to-day lab operations and procedures.
May develop hypotheses and assist in planning steps for the investigative process. Reviews and remains current on literature as it relates to clinical/research studies.
May assist in the preparation of grant proposals, submissions, publications, and presentations, but is not responsible for generating grant funds.
Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry, or related science or engineering specialization is required. A master's or doctoral degree is preferred.
Experience & Skills:
Eight (8) years of direct experience in human pathology and, preferably, in other preclinical models. Experience in human pathology annotation, cohort building.
Work experience in multiple disease models.
Experimental design, research methodology, and data analysis.
Writes good documentation and standard operating procedures.
Knowledge of pathology annotation and documentation.
Ability to apply advanced knowledge of Pathology methods and tools.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and attention to detail. Project management experience in a multi-disciplinary setting is highly desirable.
Must have superior interpersonal, communication, and organization skills and the ability to work across company disciplines and functional units, and computer application experience.
Familiar with routine laboratory procedures, experimental protocols, and overall lab organization.
Knowledge of specialized equipment.
Ability to use databases. Must possess computer skills to include, but not limited, to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
