In 2004, the Critical Access Hospital opened with 15 Acute Care beds.
In 2007, CVMC expanded its hospital to include an ICU. A complete listing of services offered at CVMC can be found here.
In 2008, Job's Peak Internal Medicine & Family Practice and Minden Family Medicine & Complete Care joined CVMC. The following year, CVMC Senior Care was opened to provide specialized primary care services to patients over 65.
CVMC responded to a great need in the community by opening Vitality for Life in 2010.
Each July 5 since 2013, the League to Save Lake Tahoe recruits hundreds of volunteers to participate in organized efforts to clean Tahoe’s beaches.
In 2014, CVMC opened its CVMC at Ironwood building in Minden, which houses urgent care, primary care and occupational health services.
2017 marked a year of expansion for CVMC's primary care offerings as new providers were added to Ironwood Primary Care, Minden Family Medicine, Jobs Peak Internal Medicine & Family Practice and CVMC Senior Care.
