Cons of working at Cart Mart

I’ll start by saying that this company is extremely toxic and full of egos. They constantly and knowingly overbook your schedule basically forcing you to work overtime or you’ll be guilt tripped and disrespected by others that have a “oh well, deal with it attitude” like you’re not a human with personal obligations outside of work. This place makes thousands and thousands of dollars with your work yet treat you with little respect often, they never factor in driving time, time for breaks or lunch time when they make the scheduling despite bringing it up to management multiple times. They do not replace tools that you break or happen to wear out very often doing their work that you paid for with your money (you supply your own tools) even if the tool is a wire wheel for a drill or an adapter set for literally 5 dollars or less. Boot allowance every 2 years is only 50$ when good/long lasting boots are at least a couple hundred bucks, easily. They constantly miscalculate your commission and don’t allocate your labor hours properly so that you received your proper commission, and I happened to bring that up several times to management and was told that I “complain”. SOP’s change daily, sometimes hourly it seems like. No accountability anywhere, if the parts department makes a mistake it’s because you didn’t check every little thing (why is there even a manager?), you as a technician need to tell service advisors to close repair orders (not the service manager that is in charge of them?). They will always throw you under the bus for a chance to make a dollar, send you for repairs that you’re not comfortable working on carts that are unsafe to work on, carts that you have no knowledge of working on, etc. I could list about a thousand more reasons but I would not recommend working here at all. Employees do not speak out due to fear of retaliation or they just allow themselves to get walked all over and “don’t care” but overall this place is stressful, overly complicated, disorganized, mismanaged, and overall not worth it. For less money you could work somewhere that is more structured and not have to deal with constant b.s., drama queens bad mouthing you with every chance they get, egotistical people with no respect, etc. Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache

What do you like best about Cart Mart's CEO and the leadership team?

Not bad on the CEO’s part but management is horrible

How would you improve Cart Mart's culture?

New management or the ones that work there need a lot of self assessment about their morals and ethics
