About the Cart Pusher:

The Cart Pusher is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of the parking lot, vestibule and landscaped areas; ensuring shopping carts are not scattered about and garbage is picked up. This Cart Pusher is also responsible for providing exceptional guest service by ensuring guest purchases are transported in an efficient and careful manner to their vehicles.

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Associate bags items at checkout, puts bags into carriages, restocks returns, retrieves carriages from the parking lot, vacuums front

end, restocks coolers, collects trash.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Promptly, at the start of the shift, the employee will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to

perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.

· The Associate bags items at checkout and puts bags into carriages.

· The Associate retrieves carriages from parking lot.

· The The Associate restocks items, vacuums the front-end, and restocks coolers.

· The Associate collects trash, takes trash to compactor, and operates the compactor.

ERGONOMIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Shift Hours: 8 Job Cycles: Continual Max. Lift/carry: 50 lb. (bag of dog food)

Stand 55%, Sit 0%, Walk 45% Category IV: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 55 lb. Max. Pull static: 20 lb.

JOB TASKS:

Task 1. The Associate bags items at checkout and puts bags in carriages.

Task 2. The Associate walks out in the parking lot collecting carriages, stacks carriages, and pushes carriages back to the front end of the

store.

Task 3. The Associate restocks items.

Task 4. The Associate vacuums front end carpet and refills coolers.

Task 5. The Associate collects trash, stacks trash on cart, and pushes cart to the compactor, lifts trash into the compactor, and operates the

compactor.

Task 6. The Associate demonstrates good customer service skills.

Task 7. The Associate performs cleaning and other duties throughout the store when instructed by the Checkout Coach.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS SPECIFICATIONS:

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be authorized to work in the US.

· Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to

comply with Company policies and safety regulations.

· Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.

· Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
