JFS is looking for a compassionate, mission-driven individual to join the Family Therapy Services team as the Director of Family Therapy Services. The Director of Family Therapy Services leads a new team that engages families referred to by juvenile justice and child welfare systems, and ensures referred families are connected in a timely manner to family therapy services utilizing Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT). BSFT is a trauma sensitive, strength based, culturally competent and evidenced based practice that is effective in improving family functioning.
This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Family & Community Services and supervises 4 Family Therapists, an Intake Specialist, and a Program Assistant. This position is expected to carry a small caseload of families to support their credentialing in BSFT and to better support the Family Therapists in implementing and maintaining high fidelity to the model.
Responsibilities:
Program Management (approximately 65%); Therapy Services (approximately 35%)
Provide general oversight of family therapy services and its operations and staff
Provide clinical and daily supervision to Associate Therapists. Supervise Intake Specialist and Program Assistant
Ensure program and staff compliance with HIPAA, BSFT expectations, and agency and contractual regulations. Provides ongoing monitoring of staff activities and performance
Work collaboratively with other JFS program staff to ensure comprehensive services for program participants
Produce monthly outcome data reporting in an accurate and timely manner
Oversee billing activities and manage program budget
Communicate with contract monitors and attend meetings and collaboratives as needed
Maintain a small caseload of approximately 5 families, provide family therapy services with fidelity to the Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) model. Fulfill all requirements to become certified in BSFT in the time allotted and maintain good standing in fidelity adherence program
