    We are seeking two qualified candidates to join the Criminal and Traffic Division, where they will take on exciting duties in both criminal case support and traffic case processing. The incumbents will screen and accept charging documents for filing, initiate criminal cases, route documents to the electronic file system, and schedule arraignment dates. They will coordinate prisoner transport for in-custody arraignments as necessary, working with local transport units and correctional facilities. These positions are responsible for entering complete and accurate identifying information into the CourtView database, including court dates, temporary orders with bail information, bail/bond documentation, and arrest or bench warrant orders. You will also generate summonses, assign arraignment dates, and distribute case documents to relevant parties. This role includes processing out-of-town cases scheduled for proceedings in Anchorage, coordinating future court dates with the court of origin. Additionally, the incumbent will handle all aspects of bail, bond, and release paperwork received by the court-from initial entry through exoneration or forfeiture-while ensuring an accurate monetary record is maintained for each case. Additionally, you will also be responsible for closing cases by screening final documents for compliance with court procedures and distributing judgments, dismissals, and other orders to all interested parties, including the Department of Public Safety, correctional facilities, and other involved agencies. Traffic Division Duties The incumbents will provide accurate and concise information to the public regarding court policies and procedures, and assist in directing customers to the appropriate locations for hearings or related agencies. You will receive fines from the public for citations within the jurisdiction and prepare or assist in preparing necessary paperwork, such as requests for court appearances, entering pleas, requesting continuances, or reopening cases. This may require the use of APSIN (Alaska Public Safety Information Network) system to research citations and DMV information while maintaining strict security protocols. They will also assist in processing case documents from initiation through closure, verify and process electronic payments for Minor Offense cases, and ensure accurate receipt balancing and daily cash drawer closure. The Work Hours Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for these positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. These positions may be assigned to work weekends temporarily if needed. Other classes will cover communication, self-care, and other skills focused on developing and improving student retention and success. * Develop methods for obtaining feedback from staff and students on new topics and subjects needed for curriculum development. * Maintain curriculum electronically and/or in hardcopy in an organized way. Develop lesson plans for each class. Groups/classes will be interactive to encourage strong student participation. * Develop activities promoting interpersonal skills that can be easily incorporated into existing meetings or group sessions facilitated by non-counseling staff. * Conducts periodic focus groups and provides feedback to appropriate entities; modifies programming based on student feedback. * Provides daily communication to the Counseling Manager and other Counselors regarding any concerns for student issues revealed during evening hours. * Maintain positive and effective relationships with students. Provide guidance for students to achieve a positive attitude, proper behavior and goal achievement. * Coordinate and assist with any social development activities promoting self-skills and professional growth with dorm and/or recreation staff. * Work with the Residential Living Manager to develop and execute a rotating schedule of presenting mini-sessions or activities at dormitory meetings. * Perform all other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: * Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, OR, * Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and two years related experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree. Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth development programs. * Three (3) years' experience in sales, marketing, or counseling. * Successfully pass background check and/drug test required on the contract. * Current valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
