Duties will include:
Places an introductory call to the client within the first 24 hours of receiving the case assignment. If the client is unavailable a message will be left on their voicemail and an email or text will follow.

For Pre-Procedure Evaluations: Drafts the PPE questionnaire, obtains the reports, bills and
estimated cost or each procedure, obtains the defendant's policy limits, runs and ISO on the
client, and provides all information to the Lead Attorney for their review. For surgery evaluations runs a Criminal Background Check (CBC).
-Contacts client to over the ISO and/or CBC with client to confirm the information and/or obtain any pre-ret treatment regarding any previous accidents. Adds a note regarding the ISO/CBC review.
-CM will obtain medical provider full contact information, prior attorney information and provide this to their respective RC for cases where there are pre-existing accidents as they will request the records.
Consults and advises clients regarding loss wages claims and credit issues.
Resolves problems. Consults with Pre-Lit Manager regarding claims process and special, unusual, or complex circumstances.
As required and under the direction of an attorney, assists in the negotiation process for a
client's case (case by case)
Seeks opportunities for clients to submit favorable online reviews about their experience with the firm.
Maintains utmost professional standards towards the Firm and its clients.

Under the direction of the Classification & Parole Representative (C&PR), this position will serve as the Offender with Mental Health Disorder (OMHD) and Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Coordinator having oversight of the OMHD Correctional Counselor I (CC).
This position will perform the duties of the SVP Coordinator. The SVP Coordinator is responsible to identify, screen, refer and track all the Penal Code (PC) Section 290 Registrants and other qualifying SVP cases housed at CIM at least twelve months prior to release pursuant to Welfare & Institution Code (W&IC) 6600 et seq. The screening and tracking are utilized to determine if the IP meets the criteria for referral to the Department of State Hospital (DSH) as a possible "Sexually Violent Predator". The CCII will utilize Board's Information Technology System to identify IPs meeting the SVP screening criteria and record the SVP documentation, arranges for DSH evaluators to have access to specified Strategic Offender Management System/Electronic Records Management System and medical files, identify an appropriate location to conduct the file review and to conduct the clinical evaluation of an incarcerated individual, approves review of an incarcerated individual's confidential information by a DSH clinician, if that information is relevant to the SVP evaluation, direct DSH evaluators to limit the use of the information to not disclose any later written report, information that is specifically derived from a confidential document, require a court order to provide a copy of a confidential document, coordinate with the Assistant C&PR for transfer to a State Hospital based on Board of Parole Hearings order to house at Coalinga State Hospital, direct case records staff to provide updated PC 3058.6 and 3058.8 notifications to law enforcement.
This position is also the Offender with Mentally Health Disorder Offender (OMHD) Coordinator. The OMHD Coordinator maintains supervision of the OMHD CCI, who is the administrative liaison with all OMHD entities. The CCII will work in conjunction with the OMHD CCI. The OMHD Coordinator is responsible to ensure the assigned OMHD CCI monitors and tracks all PC Section 2962 candidates and/or any other qualifying OMHD cases housed at CIM. The CCII will also assist the OMHD CCI as needed to coordinate clinician appointments or participate in the OMHD interview process. Upon notification from the OMHD CCI, the OMHD Coordinator will ensure the OMHD CCI contacts and coordinates with the OMHD, DSH, BPH, CCHCS and Division of Adult Parole Unit (DAPO) Units to ensure IPs are evaluated in a timely manner. The OMHD Coordinator coordinates and assists the Assistant C&PR for DSH transfers/acceptance to Atascadero State Hospital; ensures all required documents are forwarded to the OMHD Unit.
The CCII will serve as the Institution Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) Liaison and assist Law Enforcement agencies with questions regarding Release Plans, answer questions regarding releases and work with the Parole Service Associates as needed. The CCII Specialist will also ensure DAPO and PRCS counties receive all appropriate documents if there is a change in determination after releasing due to institutional error. The CCII is responsible for tracking the Outpatient Housing Unit (OHU) cases, sending information to the facilities and/or Mental Health Compliance CCIs, preparing and presenting VITEK hearings. Responsible for the review and screening of documents submitted for the BPH process.
In addition, this position will assist the Transportation Assistant C&PR with monitoring and tracking Send and Intake for the institution, cover the Transportation desk, assist with overall responsibility to ensure all IPs housed in the OHU MHCB are moved within the timeframes per Coleman, complete redirects when applicable, assist the C&PR with Warden's Check-out Orders, respond to all written or telephone inquiries by judges, attorneys, probation officers, other institutions and other interested parties relevant to program suitability including the IP's family inquiries. The CCII Specialist will assist the C&PR with all other duties as assigned.
Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

Your responsibilities include working closely with injured workers to facilitate their recovery. You will work collaboratively with the patient, their family, medical providers, members of our team, and others. This is a heavy local travel role responsible for working with a caseload of workers compensation injured workers within a defined jurisdiction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to individuals, involving the patient, physician, other health care providers, the employer, and the referral source
Utilizes their medical and nursing knowledge to discuss the current treatment plan with the physician and discuss alternate treatment plans
Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient's progress
Evaluates patient's treatment plan for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness
Attends doctors, other providers, home and in some cases, attorney's visits

PAY RANGE:
CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location.
