Qualifications
* License or Certification:

* Must meet eligibility requirements for CCM or ACM certification upon entry into this position OR within two years of entry into the position.

Cedar Recovery, LLC is an ASAM Level I outpatient treatment facility that employs an array of evidenced-based treatment modalities to provide an integrated model of care of medical, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to treat every patient's individual needs and promote long-term sustainable recovery from substance use disorder. While Cedar Recovery provides care for all substance use disorders, it has a primary focus on treating opioid use disorder with medications such as Buprenorphine and/or Naltrexone, as well as Methadone (MAT).
This role will oversee the therapy staff and programming at Cedar Recovery's buprenorphine treatment Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) and methadone treatment Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facilities. Both facilities are based in Bristol, VA.
Overview
The Lead Counselor is expected to demonstrate expertise in: individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, advocacy, casemanagement, substance abuse assessments, intakes, discharge/continuing care planning, and appropriate referrals. The counselor may also perform other related tasks that are a part of Cedar Recovery's operation. The focus in this position requires knowledge of opioid addiction and direct practice in facilitating evidenced based treatment. Counselors are entrusted to maintain their expertise and continually gain knowledge via continuing education and training within the scope of opioid or substance abuse treatment.

Establish and build rapport with clients.
Conduct initial assessments and formulate individual plans of care. Includes activities related to managing and improving the care of the patient population across health, substance abuse and mental health treatment, and social service providers.
Establish SMART goals with each patient and monitor progress.
Maintain licensure/certification and complete required CEU's.
Provide referrals outside of Cedar Recovery as clinically indicated.
In collaboration with the OTP Program Director, ensure compliance with 42 cfr, accreditation guidelines, and other state and federal regulations governing OTPs.

Program Overview:
Intercept , developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based intensive, in-home program that focuses on keeping families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification after such placements, including foster care, residential treatment facilities, hospitalization, or juvenile detention centers. It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children.
This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family's home and community-Intercept is not an office-based program.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The School-Based Behavioral Health Specialist (SBBHS) is responsible for providing and coordinating behavioral health care for patients at High Country Community Health (HCCH), a fully integrated primary care setting. Services may be provided in a clinic or in a school-based setting.
