Primary Objectives of Position: Functions as the central focus of services to job seekers and referred customers. Provides eligibility determination, orientation, and assessment. Prepares accurate and reliable budget projections for each participant.
Takes appropriate actions with participants within program requirements (follow-up, sanctions, terminations, etc.).
Demonstrates knowledge of various community resources and makes referrals as appropriate.
Collaborates with other internal staff to assist participants in developing effective résumés and cover letters.
Demonstrates ability to create and develop appropriate marketing/resource materials and presentations to perform outreach into community about the program.
Demonstrates ability to create or use existing, plan, and implement activities in order to reach individual program goals.
Demonstrates ability to coordinate activities with appropriate agencies such as mandated program partners, community-based organizations, and other internal staff in order to reach individual program goals.
Contributes to the success of overall program outcomes based on applicable program reports.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position will serve as the lead casemanager/direct care staff for the evening and weekend shifts in a residential substance use treatment facility that serves women and their children. Participates in the development of planning for the youth's overall programming during placement. Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, behavioral sciences, human services, or related field and experience in child or youth care, teaching, foster care, delinquency prevention, juvenile court systems, community work related to children and youth, behavioral health systems, patient care, nursing, or other areas involving contact or interaction with youth or families. To prevent youth from being placed outside the home, CEDARS also offers Basic Center services to families who are not involved in Child Welfare or the Juvenile Justice System.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This casemanager will serve as a direct care staff/casemanager in a residential substance abuse treatment facility that serves women and their children. This position provides supervision and support to residents as a part of the 24-hour direct care staff, as well as casemanagement services for assigned families. The casemanager will be part of the team that provides education and support programming for women, their children and family members.
Compensation: between $19.74 and $23.54 per hour (wage is determined by total years of relevant experience)
Work Schedule:15 hours per week, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or a related field preferred
Two or more years' experience in human services field
Alcohol/drug abuse experience preferred
Valid driver's license/ acceptable driving record
Bilingual-Spanish speaking abilities preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Provides supervision and support for program participants as a part of residential program staffing for 24 hour per day, 7 day per week schedule.
*Assists staff in implementing casemanagement activities and goals with and for WCC clients.
*Participates in interdisciplinary family/case staffing to obtain information, provide information, and assist with service planning as needed.
*Completes intake information with incoming clients.
*Reviews casemanagement activities, goals and rules with Program Coordinator.
*Documents client activity, progress and needs per established record keeping procedures.
*Participates in interdisciplinary family/case staffing to obtain information, provide information, and assist with service planning.
*Implements casemanagement plans and provides support services for program participants under the direction of Lead CaseManager and Program Coordinator.
*Does follow-up with individual clients and updates goal planning as client goals change.
*Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of facility, including monitoring residents' activities.
*Orients clients to WCC rules and addresses client non-compliance as necessary to create a safe and secure environment for other residents.
Works as a team member with other program staff to provide trauma-informed care to clients.
*Assists in facilitating educational participant support groups and children groups as assigned.
Networks with community providers and other agency programs in order to assist clients in accessing needed community resources.
*Remains knowledgeable of support group services that provide support services for persons with substance abuse problems and their families.
Evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of community service providers on an ongoing basis to ensure clients are receiving quality care.
*Develops supportive relationship with clients.
Advocates for clients in the community.
Able to work independently with little supervision.
Maintains required records and statistical information.
Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
*Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
*Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.

Job Summary
The Relief Youth Specialist (RYS) Program provides additional staff to support our Pioneers Center. RYS staff offer shift coverage during absences of direct care staff.
Responsibilities
Cover shifts for direct care staff within our Pioneers Center when they need time off
Maintain safety of youth, most often between ages of 12-18
Provide transportation to and from school, appointments, activities or visits
Daily documentation of youth in care
Engage youth in life skills, educational activities and outings
Provide support during crisis intervention and structure for youth
Facilitate educational groups addressing job readiness, wellness, social skills, and community service
Create and maintain positive relationships with youth, families and program staff
Requirements
Must be 21 years of age of older
High School Diploma or GED required
A go-getter who isn't afraid to jump right in and help out
Passion for helping youth in crisis and understand how trauma impacts youth development
Enjoy working collaboratively with other team members and professionals in the agency
Strong written and verbal communication skills
You have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
