About the Role: The Family Advocate is the first point of contact for victims of child sexual abuse, sexual assault, other crimes and exposure to violence, as well as for their non-offending caregivers. The Family Advocate helps the non-offending caregiver to identify and access services the family may need. The Family Advocate encourages the non-offending caregiver to participate in the investigation, prosecution, treatment and support services. The Family Advocate participates in the multidisciplinary team and provides ongoing follow-up support for the child and the non-offending caregiver. Key Responsibilities:
Greets and orients the child and family to the process.
Provides crisis intervention and support for the child and family at all stages of the investigation and prosecution.
Consults with and provides support to the Forensic Interviewers and Child Development team.
Meets and networks with referral agencies
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree required (preferred in areas of Counseling, Social Work or Psychology)

How this role contributes to the Y's mission:
As a Y Family Services Manager, you will create and implement a Head Start recruitment plan for program participants to ensure 100% enrollment as well as establish and maintain a waiting list. This is accomplished according to an established plan of care under the direction of the Director of Operations and Radiology Nurse Coordinator in charge of Nursing who is a licensed Registered Nurse. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy policies procedures and standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provides pre-procedure telephone instruction and education to patients relating to their procedure.
Performs pre-procedure assessment appropriate documentation of assessment pre-procedure preparation of the patient which includes intravenous access review of allergies and laboratory results application of monitoring equipment and site preparation as indicated.
Monitoring is performed intra-procedure according to Radiology/Nursing policy to assess vital signs pallor responsiveness level of comfort emotional status; Neuro status and circulation are assessed according to Radiology policy and as indicated by the procedure; provides patient care utilizing the nursing process; information related to changes in patient's condition is relayed accurately and efficiently to the physician. Appropriate care and treatment are implemented; acts as a patient advocate; follows universal precautions.
Administers and titrating medications appropriately and in the correct increment dosages knowing the pharmacological effects and side effects of the medications being administered. Assesses and documents the patient's response to medications administered. Institutes appropriate treatment to medication induced changes in the patient's condition. Administers emergency drugs and utilizes emergency equipment knowledgeably and appropriately.
Post-procedure care is arranged prior to procedure date unless the case is an add-on. Performs and documents an appropriate and complete post-procedure assessment. Gives a complete and concise report to the department receiving the patient post procedure. Discharge instructions and patient/family education are provided according to Radiology policy.
Performs daily equipment drug and quality assurance checks as required by Radiology policy. Documentation is performed accordingly. Reports equipment failures and assures repairs are performed; Arranges for replacement of expired or used supplies.
Participates in the development implementation and evaluation of Performance Improvement and Research activities.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives. Recognizes cost reduction opportunities.
Supports unit and organization's goals.
Exemplifies SPIRIT values actively participates in Patient Safety Standards and tasks.
Serves as a preceptor or mentor as unit needs delegate.
Participates in educational programs.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Family Services Advocate is responsible for supporting the larger system of social services coordinated by Head Start. Implements the program's core family partnership, parent engagement, and community partnership functions. Knowledge of family support and case management principles is necessary to collaborate with related service areas and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Applying a family-centered philosophy in services to motivate Head Start families to increase their participation and involvement with their children's education is a key focus for this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Family Partnership Building & Advocacy
Recruit, enroll, and engage in collaborative partnership building with 40 families of children receiving Head Start services.
Conduct home visits annually and as needed with each family based on the family's identified tier level.
Ensure meetings and one-on-one interactions are respectful of each family's diversity and cultural background.
Work with families individually to identify family goals, strengths, and necessary services and supports through the Family Needs Assessment and track progress on family goals set in the Family Partnership Agreement.
Ensure parents have opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge in the following areas: Child growth and development; Prevention of child abuse and neglect; Family literacy; Preventative health and safety; Maintaining a medical home; Community advocacy; and Transition activities.
Arrange for education and other appropriate interventions related to family or individual mental health services, substance abuse, child abuse and neglect, and domestic violence, if needed.
Build trusting relationships with families through regular communication.
Encourage and support parent participation in Head Start activities and decision-making.
Advocate for families to ensure they receive necessary services and support.
Support families in understanding child development and the importance of early education.
Community Partnership
Take an active role in community planning and advocacy to improve the delivery of services to children and families.

Wisconsin Community Services (WCS) is excited to announce openings for Youth Treatment Specialists in Jefferson County. This position works in a therapeutic milieu environment serving youth at a State Certified Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility (YCSF) serving male, female and gender non-conforming youth, ages 8-17, supporting youth through a mental health crisis that has resulted in a youth needing a safe space to reside for up to 30 days. The Youth Treatment Specialist 3 rd shift works overnight ensuring all youth and staff are safe and following nighttime procedures. This can include tasks such as completing bed checks, monitoring youth on suicide protocol, following sleep hygiene and bedwetting protocols, waking youth, and coaching them to complete activities of daily living, administering medication teaching skills. Other tasks such as completing building tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and inventory, preparing meals, putting together educational materials, and other programming material to prepare for the days schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform third shift room checks verifying the status of each youth, ensuring youth are asleep, not distressed and are safe.
Follow clinical recommendations for safety such as supervising suicide protocols and safety plans.
Serve as a positive role model and work alongside a Lead Youth Treatment Specialist in the milieu supporting therapeutic interactions by coaching skill use throughout morning activities, modeling appropriate behavior, teaching, and reinforcing use and generalization of skills through a token economy system.
Use evidence-based best practices for youth with mental health, substance use and life needs. This includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, youth centered, and culturally reverent approaches while celebrating youth's development and identity.
Calmly and responsibly respond during crisis situations and intervene to de-escalate utilizing Principles of Stabilization and Control (POSC) for non-escalation, de-escalation, and possible physical intervention to maintain safety in the environment for youth and staff when preventing or responding to a crisis.
Attend mandatory meetings including but not limited to staff meetings, new employee and ongoing trainings, individual supervision, team meetings, and other clinical staffing as required.
Participate and meet the DHS34 clinical supervision requirements of one hour of supervision for every thirty hours of face-to-face contact.
Use motivation and engagement strategies to encourage youth involved in systems to participate in treatment programming and involvement in program activities.
Always provide active sight and sound supervision to youth and families with complex needs.
Report any observed youth behavior for risk to self and others or behavioral changes within the treatment milieu. Follow policies and procedures to communicate with supervisory and/or clinical staff regarding appropriate support as needed.
Interact with youth in a professional, positive, and therapeutic manner according to policy, procedure, training, and agency values.
Assist with inventory, building organization, food preparation, daily programming set up, including educational materials and medication administration.
Work closely as part of a team to maintain clear communication with other staff to ensure youth receive high quality and seamless care.
Observe and document youth participation in activities and interactions with others per program standards (youth logs and youth related reports) in an electronic database.
Complete building or structural functions as required, assisting with meal preparation, general building cleanliness, laundry, and organization.
Monitor and support youth in completing activities of daily living such as laundry, chores and health and hygiene standards.
Administer medication to youth following the CBRF medication administration required policies and procedures.
Assist youth with attending meetings, including daily phone calls, family visits and professional visits.
Maintain youth and family confidentiality within all written and verbal communications.
Adhere to State licensing requirements.

Responsibilities of the Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist:
1. Provides 1:1 assessment, training and follow up in the consumers home and community as identified in their Mental Health and TBS assessments
2. Implements positive behavior programs for qualified clients in the community.
3. Assure compliance with safety and confidentiality standards.
4. Acts as a program monitor for assigned clients. Complete required forms and accountability documentation, incident reports, case notes, termination, client attendance, billing, and other required documentation.
5. Performs behavioral interventions as prescribed.
6. Assess and document client progress, performs quality control.
7. Maintains all assigned client case records. Participates in case reviews and goal planning. Schedule transportation, prepare required documentation, reporting.
8. Responsible for maintaining a professional relationship with consumers, parents, care providers, co-workers and appropriate others. Represents HOPE in the community.
9. Acts as advocate on behalf of clients served, providing intervention and consultation as needed.
10. Acts as a mandated abuse reporter.
11. Perform other duties, as assigned, to assure efficiency of program services.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist should possess a Bachelors degree in Psychology or its equivalent as approved by SCCMH.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist:
1. Interest and ability to understand and relate to children with developmental/mental health disabilities and behavioral challenges.
2. Working knowledge of handling aggressive/assaultive behaviors.
3. Ability to relate in a positive and constructive manner with clients, their families, the community and staff members.
4. Ability to accept supervision and work cooperatively as a member of the counseling support team
5. Ability to observe, evaluate, document and communicate verbally and in writing, client performance and social behavior.
6. Knowledge and understanding of psychological and mental health disabilities, alternative communication systems and assistive technology.
7. Utilization of critical thinking skills in decision making situations, good organizational and record keeping skills.
8. Maintain valid CPR and First Aid certification.
9. Knowledge and commitment to the principles and concepts of normalization and a commitment to enhance community integration of adults with developmental disabilities
10. Flexible, positive and cooperative approach to scheduling and task prioritization in a consumer-driven environment.

Case Managers will provide direct support ensuring safe reception, service coordination, and access to critical resources.
As part of the ACF/OHSEPR Repatriation Case Management and Financial Support Services Program, this position may require travel and is contingent on contract award, with salary subject to change.
Location: Remote with occasional travel, must be local to Washington, DC
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide end -to -end case management support, including intake, needs assessment, service coordination, and case closure in accordance with OHSEPR policy.
Meet repatriates at ports of entry or final destinations (as directed), ensuring safe reception and transition to temporary housing, medical, or other support services.
Coordinate with federal, state, and local partners, as well as community service providers, to connect repatriates with appropriate resources (housing, food, medical care, transportation, etc.).
Support complex cases involving vulnerable populations such as unaccompanied minors, individuals with medical or mental health needs, or other at -risk groups.
Document case management activities, assessments, and referrals in OHSEPR's case management system within established timelines.
Monitor client progress during the 90 -day temporary assistance period, conducting regular outreach and providing updates to OHSEPR.
Prepare case notes, reports, and correspondence that are clear, concise, accurate, and compliant with program requirements.
Participate in ongoing training, program improvement initiatives, and quality assurance activities.
Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and federal data security standards.
Perform other job -related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or a related field. Minimum 3 years of case management experience in human services or related fields. Previous experience with ACF and OHSEPR, emergency response, refugee resettlement, or repatriation programs, is highly preferred.
Experience providing direct client services and conducting needs assessments.
Knowledge of social service resources and referral processes.
Familiarity with federally funded programs such as TANF, SNAP, Medicaid, and Vocational Rehabilitation Services preferred.
Strong interviewing, documentation, and case reporting skills required.
Ability to work effectively with diverse and vulnerable populations is required.
Proficiency in case management databases (e.g., Homeless Management Information System) or ability to learn within 30 days.
Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and experience preparing accessible documentation preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Bilingual or multilingual skills (Spanish and other common languages) are highly preferred.

Summary/Objective
Under the close supervision of a Clinical Director, the Case Manager provides direct professional social work services and case management to homeless populations such as children, seniors, substance abusers, and physically or mentally ill individuals.
The Case Worker will have two areas of Case Management focus: Housing and Linkage with Benefits and Community Service Providers. This worker will assess client needs and strengths, create service plans and implement through referral and linkage to Agency and Community resources for entitlement programs, employment and vocational rehabilitation services, mental health services as well as to numerous other essential support services for homeless clients. Monitoring and ongoing assessment are essential components of this worker's duties to assist clients to become physically and mentally healthier, housed and in safe stable environments and as independent as possible. At all times, the Case Manager will provide -customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds the standards set by the Agency.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Reporting - All pertinent data will be entered into the HMIS database and will be updated in a timely manner. Client contact sheets will be maintained listing clients served, services rendered and the nature of direct and collateral contacts. Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reports will be generated which will include but not be limited to the number of unduplicated clients, client encounters, collateral contacts, access to case management, and a breakdown of the services rendered. Case load numbers, demographic information and other data is to be tracked, analyzed, and reported.
Attends staff conferences and meetings related to the progress of clients. Contributes to program evaluation and research. Prepares case histories and other reports, maintains records on social services rendered, and monitors activities of patients/clients.
Maintains contact with other health, education, and welfare agencies and professionals to assure that the needs of clients are met. Interprets specific program policies and procedures to clients and other interested parties.

Training and Experience
Possession of a master's degree in social work from a college or university approved by the Council of Social Work Education, or possession of a license, issued by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners, as a Graduate Social Worker preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Entry Level)
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and theories of social work and human behavior.
Knowledge of the diagnosis, treatment, and management of social, mental, and emotional dysfunctions. Knowledge of current social, economic, and health problems. Knowledge of individual, family and group therapy dynamics and techniques.

What You'll Do The Case Manager for the Washington, DC Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Workforce Development program will serve as the main point of contact for Customers (TANF recipients referred to Fedcap by the District of Columbia's Department of Human Services). The Case Manager will play a key role in coordinating all services to ensure that Customers are making meaningful progress toward preparing for and obtaining employment. Case Managers shall develop trusted working relationships with assigned TANF Customers and shall monitor Customer engagement and progress up through the first year of a Customer's employment. Case Managers shall coordinate multiple activities with Fedcap staff and other providers, as well as assist Customers in reporting work participation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Case Coordination and Relationships
Carry a case load of approximately 50 unemployed and unenrolled program participants
Conducted a minimum of 25 participant interactions a week, including bi-weekly coaching sessions and/or weekly non-compliance/re-engagement attempt meetings
Coordinate and develop relationships with all external Providers (including Secondary Service Providers, District Agency Providers, School, Employers, and Community Providers) as well as Teammates, and ensure that participants are making meaningful progress toward employment.
Review DHS-administered assessments, develop and amend participants' Detailed Individual Responsibility Plans (DIRPs), and help participants overcome barriers to program engagement and participation.
Develop trusted working relationships with assigned TANF participants and monitor participant engagement and progress up through participants' first year of employment.
Provide counseling, intervention, and program action planning and delivery.
Facilitate the successful utilization of job readiness training, rapid job searching, job retention services, and/or education services.
Document activities, participation, compliance, and employment progress in the Electronic Case Management (ECM) systems.
Stress urgency and ownership, guiding participants through a learn-by-doing process during their service planning and delivery.
Participant Program Participant Participation
Achieve 80% Work Participation Rate (WPR) on the case load by collecting, verifying, and processing timesheets and/or paystubs for the entire case load weekly
Complete non-compliance attempts weekly for the 20% of the case load not meeting WPR, including phone calls, emails, letters, and home visits, and re-engaging those participants who are responsive or confirming sanction status to DHS for those that have not.
Coordinate multiple activities outlined in the participant's DIRP and assist participants in reporting work participation.
Ultimately responsible for the engagement of Participants and works with all staff to identify appropriate activities, resources, and supports for participants.
Ongoing Professional Development and Adherence to Standards
Observe all policies and procedures and attend all required training and certifications as scheduled.
