-Reviews the police reports and medical records obtained by the Records Clerk. On Serious Injury Cases (SI), forwards these reports to the Team Attorney.
For Serious Injury (SI) Cases: Follows up with Records Clerk in order to obtain the police report, establishes liability, requests the policy limits of the defendant, obtains the client declarations page, obtains any important evidence (i.e. PD photos, injury photos, videos, witness statements, etc.) -
For Pre-Procedure Evaluations: Drafts the PPE questionnaire, obtains the reports, bills and
estimated cost or each procedure, obtains the defendant's policy limits, runs and ISO on the
client, and provides all information to the Lead Attorney for their review. For surgery evaluations runs a Criminal Background Check (CBC).
-Contacts client to over the ISO and/or CBC with client to confirm the information and/or obtain any pre-ret treatment regarding any previous accidents. Adds a note regarding the ISO/CBC review.
-CM will obtain medical provider full contact information, prior attorney information and provide this to their respective RC for cases where there are pre-existing accidents as they will request the records.
Consults and advises clients regarding loss wages claims and credit issues.
Resolves problems. Consults with Pre-Lit Manager regarding claims process and special, unusual, or complex circumstances.
As required and under the direction of an attorney, assists in the negotiation process for a
client's case (case by case)
Seeks opportunities for clients to submit favorable online reviews about their experience with the firm.

Facilitate delivery, tracking, and completion of required health plan forms
Prepare and distribute daily reports for patient rounds to ensure accurate, up-to-date information
Receive, review, label, and file incoming faxes to maintain organized records
Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards
Assist in preparing health plan reports and maintaining current logs
Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with physicians, facility staff, and colleagues

This is the first-line supervisory level in the Forensic Behavioral Health Clinician series. Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisors provide day-to-day supervision of a behavioral health care team of clinicians and daily operational leadership. Incumbents in this position may assist the Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Manager in administrative functions.
The Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is distinguished from the lower-level class of Forensic Behavioral Clinician II in that the latter does not have supervisory responsibilities. It is further distinguished from the next higher class of Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Manager in that the latter may supervise a Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor and has overall responsibility for program planning, development and evaluation, program reporting and statistics, and program outcome monitoring. Receiving and reviewing case referrals to determine needs, and assigning appropriate hospice personnel to case
Reviewing patient medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures and clinical course
Assisting clinicians in developing plans of care and guiding clinicians to promote more effective performance and delivery of quality services
Facilitating coordination of care and discussion with interdisciplinary group
Conducting quarterly record reviews and communicating findings with Director of Clinical Operations and/or Executive Director
Supervising hospice clinical personnel, including hiring and assisting in new employee orientation and assisting in coordination of continuing education programs
Participating in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities
Ensuring compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in state of operation, BSN preferred
Hospice or home care experience preferred
2+ years management or supervisory experience
Excellent observation, nursing judgment and communication skills
Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care and principles of pain/symptom management
Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence

What You'll Do
As a CaseManager/Child Safety Specialist, you'll:
Work full-time, 40 hours a week on-site/in field; alternative work hours may be required
Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect
Conduct interviews and assess child safety
Work with families in their homes and in the community
Coordinate services and develop case plans
Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports
Transport children and support placement needs
Managecases throughout your assigned region

The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Successfully complete the 22 weeks of in person classroom and field training program

Step Increases and Training Information
CaseManagers/Child Safety Specialists are eligible for incremental pay increases as they grow in their roles as follows:
Upon successful completion of the Arizona Department of Child Safety 22-week training program: $22.59/hour
After one year of Arizona Department of Child Safety Specialist service: $24.11
After two years of Arizona Department of Child Safety Specialist service: $25.96
After three years of Arizona Department of Child Safety Specialist service: $27.66
Pay Rate Determination: Placement within the DCS Specialist step pay plan may include credit for qualifying years of service as an OCWI Investigator Senior, in addition to prior DCS Specialist experience, in accordance with agency policy.
Training Details:
The CORE program includes seven weeks of classroom training within the 22-week program. Classroom sessions occur in one- to three-week blocks and are held in midtown Phoenix. Eligible hires receive hotel accommodations, as well as meal and mileage reimbursements during required in-person training.
