Northwestern Medicine, Ben Gordon Center is seeking both new graduates and Independently Licensed Case Therapist to join our team!

Opportunities:

Youth Mental Health: The Independently Licensed Case Therapist will join a team of pediatric-focused clinicians to provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy services. The therapist will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure wrap around care coordination for youth and their families including schools, primary care physicians, psychiatric providers, and other care providers. This position will also spend one day a week in our office in Sandwich, Illinois.

Adult Mental Health: The Independently Licensed Case Therapist will join a team of Adult clinicians to provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy services. The therapist will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure wrap around care coordination for youth and their families including schools, primary care physicians, psychiatric providers, and other care providers. This position will also spend one day a week in our office in Sandwich, Illinois.

Crisis Referral Service: The dependently Licensed Case Therapist will join the Emergency Crisis Assessment Support Program (ECASP) to complete psychosocial mental health assessments (using IM+CANS) for all new patients and, when appropriate, provide referrals and linkage to other community agencies and services. There is a requirement of after hours on-call for Mobile Crisis Response within DeKalb County.

Qualifications

Required:

2 years post graduate degree required.
Experience working with substance abuse and mental health populations.
Masters Degree with LCSW, LCPC required.
Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
Experience and training in assessment, individual, family, and group counseling.
Must be computer comfortable and/or proficient as much as medical records are automated.
LCPC, LIC LCSW.

Preferred:

3-5 years in intensive treatment setting and /or mental health setting.
3-5 years training.
Presentation skills including lectures and didactic presentations
CERT CADC.
