Customers and district manager. N
the manager that is an alcoholic was terrible to work with. Always coming in late and always had a rude attitude with everyone.
Having great coworkers to work with
Leadership was bad but CEO wouldn't listen and he understood when I had to quit
Better management to keep the store cleaned up like it's supposed to be.
They didn't interview me but usually I get the paperwork that you would need put together and make sure I look decent/professional in front of you
Stable income, internal career advancement opportunities, retail experience, customer service experience, close relationships to coworkers, and active leadership assistance.
Physically taxing at times, can be slow paced some days, corporate leadership tends to make changes that can cause trouble with customers often, little security, and store hours given for total pay to employees is capped, making pay raises nearly impossible, or interfering with who is scheduled when.
Half off discount on all made in kitchen foods, with free drinks while you're clocked in.
They actively go to stores, and meet with employees, including managers of all levels, to personally meet members of the team, emphasize changes that can/will happen to improve the store, and give/recieve feedback on how the store is faring for future decisions.
Focusing more on paying liveable wages to employees depending on the pricing of the region, and success of the store, versus capping the store pay limit, and forcing managers to divide everything across every employee. Benefits for employees when working while injured, or disabled when part time would help too. I personally saw no benefits specifically because it wasn't legally required as a part time employee.
I prepared for my interview by emphasizing my personality, work ethic, wanting to work for the company to help my community, and commitment to professionalism while on the clock.
My compensation only rose $2.25 from $12/h to $14.25/h after 5 years, with one $1 raise 2 weeks in, and one bonus of $1.25 for working through COVID. That compared to the average of between $12 starting and $16 some of my coworkers were at in the same position.
You can find just about anybody working at Casey's. They don't discriminate against race, religion, ethnicity, disability, both mental and physical, or age, as long as you're the appropriate minimum age for the position.
The most fulfilling thing working there for me was the people. You learn who the regulars are, and you work with your coworkers enough to consider them related to you in some way after a while.
Close to home, like the pizza. Wage is good.
Never enough staff, management not trained properly,no accountability for management just delegating their responsibility to everyone else so they can leave early or smoke for half of there shift.outdated equipment pumps are old .run more like Dollar General.
Really don't have any wxcept close to home.
Stop changing everything and
It use to be better work environment loved my job before all the changes we were a team with well trained management. And they worked hard.
Resume and brought my experience and work ethic.
I feel Caseypay in my area is good ,but could have better perks.
The customer are the best part of my job ,they are more patient knowing we don't have adequate staff.
I feel that Casey's could do better but small town it's hard to compare with bigger towns.
I like the customers, they are brand loyal
Mismanaged, no advancement for qualified candidates. Do not promote from within qualified candidates, but do hire outside for jobs that current employees have applied . Will promote those with drug charges, living in rehab, no vehicle, 3 months on job over those with degrees, solid management references and experience, and clean records.
Free coffee
The main thing I liked about the job was the convenience of location
management, work hours and staffing were bad
I like being a valued member of a team.
The management. There is no management at many stores.
All the Casey's pizza I can eat.
Working with the store team a d the customers I meet
The Corporation takes advantage of their long term employees. They don't pay enough for the work you put in. Instead of saying thank you they just expect more from. Store managers get paid for 45 hours a week but you have to work more so the store runs smoothly etc..
Perk is nothing
Customer Service, Good hours, and working with a team.
Cooking
A raise every year, working with the public.
I love the customers that come in and I have got to know
I don't like that the store manager is rude and has never liked me
The store managers are awesome
Area supervisors and district managers need to know how to talk to store management and the workers
The benefits
The management is amazing
Literally everything else I swore I wouldn’t work with food ever again yet here I am. I fully believe in being happy with what your doing.
Management works with my schedule. Due to me having 3kids
I like that I get to see many different faces throughout the shift.
I do not like how management doesn't get reprimanded for their bad managerial skills. They get away with anything.
There is no perk or benefit unless you actually get FULL TIME like you were promised, otherwise, nothing.
