Position Summary
Responsible for preparing journal entries for deposits; preparing donor receipts logs for DDOC; reconciling Portfolio batches & Portfolio Exchange accounts; making deposits to the bank; assisting with internal and external audits and any special projects
Essential Functions
+ Prepare monthly cash receipt journal entries in a timely manner and adhere to internal control policies.
+ Prepare journal entries, coin batch DRLs, and other deposit related items.
+ Assist in Reconciliations of Portfolio Exchange Accounts and Bank Accounts, as needed.
+ Assist in Portfolio Batch Reconciliation & review large dollar donations monthly
+ Void Checks as needed
+ Enter Non-Government Income using AR Module
+ Prepare and monitor Excel Cash Receipt Transmittals forms
+ Prepare Journal Entry and reconcile CCMS deposit transactions
+ Assist in other office job duties, including opening mail.
+ Backup for all Cash Receipts and other tasks for all funds.
+ Backup for scanning & logging CDS or Union bank checks
+ Instruct & provide training to the Corps/Units on proper cash receipts procedures.
+ Train seasonal cash receipt clerks and provide support to supervise the temps.
+ Assist with internal and external audits, month-end and year-end projects as assigned.
+ Provide assistance and support for Accounting Supervisor.
+ Any other duties that may be assigned.
Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Must be able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work on Saturdays and additional hours as necessary.

+ An AA degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 12 semester (or 16 quarter) units in accounting.
