The cashier must be familiar with all functions of these computers and be accurate in all forms of sales. The cashier must provide each customer with an appropriate receipt for each transaction. STOCKING MERCHANDISE: Occasionally, a cashier will be asked to close his/her register to stock merchandise. He/she must be aware of the stocking policies and procedures. When a cashier radios/pages for a back-up cashier, the stocking cashier must respond quickly to handle the waiting customers. The customer coordinators job is to direct shoppers to the merchandise they are shopping for and to direct sales staff to assist those shoppers in making their purchase.
