Usually, cashiers don't need a college education. The most common degree for cashiers is high school diploma with 45% graduates, with only 21% cashier graduates earning bachelor's degree. Cashiers who decided to graduate from college often finish University of Phoenix or Miami Dade College. Some good skills to have in this position include front end, cash handling and basic math.
