Performance, commission and schedule is based on sales performance. Stock wine and merchandise as requested by the Tasting Room Manager or Assistant Merchandising Manager. Help with merchandise needs and be able to assist guests with purchasing retail products. Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery. Understand and adhere to the Ponte values and service standards. Ensure the safety of guests and associates. Thank the guest for coming and invite them to come back again. Perform any other duties as required by your Manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be 21 and over. Ability and willingness to work in a standing position for long periods of time, in indoors + outdoors, during inclement weather. Ability and willingness to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time. Ability and willingness to lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 40-50 lbs. on a consistent basis. Ability and willingness to bend, squat, stoop, and climb stairs on a consistent basis. Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner. Must be able to manage a cash drawer. Must have excellent communication skills. Must have exceptional grooming standards that are consistent with company guidelines. Must have sales ability and be able to up-sell bottles to cases. Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Must be outgoing and able to approach guests and initiate conversation. Open availability is preferred. More than 4 scheduled shifts a month is required. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Must be able to work special events (i.e. barrel tastings, wine club pick up parties, etc.) Experience with wine desirable but not essential. Positive attitude, good conversational skills and enjoys working with the guests. Fluent in English. Able to engage the guests in a clear and professional manner. Be willing and able to work well under pressure. Work in high paced work environment. Ability to multitask. Company Standards: Understand the Ponte Values, and Service Standards.
