The cage cashier is responsible for protecting company assets, adhering to company and departmental policies/procedures to include gaming regulations. Adhere to and practice customer service standards. Accurately handles customer exchanges for chips/cash equivalents for cash, cash checks within established procedures, exchange foreign currency, and all other associated cage functions. Assists customers in establishing credit lines, communicate with appropriate personnel concerning customer credit information. Handles pit fill/credits with ease, and cooperates with team members within the department, as well as with other departments. Must be able to execute all cage cashier functions to include but not limited to:
Cage Marker issuance/redemption Front Money Deposits/Withdrawals AF/Discounts Title 31 R/S ticket redemptions Answer telephones Travelers checks Issue Total Rewards cards Wire transfers Casino Credit Applications Self-Redemption units Chip redemptions Check Cashing Credit Card Cash Advance Coupon redemption Fast Cash redemption Numerous bank accountabilities Foreign currency Foreign chips ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ensure excellent guest service. Pay Rate: Starting at $11.45 / hour

Responsibilities
  • Handle large sums of money in an accurate manner, including validating tickets for guests and paying accordingly, distributing cash to associates for jackpots and hand-pays, processing and verifying travelers' checks, providing check approval, check cashing service, and cash advance services.
  • Maintain an accurate count of banks.
  • Perform regular cash buys to Cage Supervisor.
  • Issue and redeem chips, process chip fills and credits.
  • Perform as a team member and assist fellow employees to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Follow all departmental and state policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 21 years of age.
