Your Role as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
We are looking for a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team and provide high-quality care for our residents. The CMA plays a crucial role in ensuring proper medication administration and assisting residents with daily living activities in a skilled nursing environment.
What You'll Do:
Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain accurate medical records under the supervision of licensed staff.
Verify resident identity before medication administration and document medication dosage and time.
Monitor residents for responses to medication and report any adverse reactions to the supervising nurse.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.

Job Description
Support providing a warm, safe, constructive and non-threatening environment with age-appropriate activities for Head Start 0-5 children. Assist the teacher with necessary classroom record-keeping tasks. Assist with food service as assigned.
Positions available in Augusta & El Dorado, KS.
Supports staff during staff breaks and in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Observes children upon arrival; reports any unusual circumstances (bruises, inappropriate dress, signs of illness, etc.) and document in writing to EC Manager.
Helps prepare classroom materials for scheduled activities.
Support screenings that are completed in first 45 days and as scheduled in developmental, speech and behavior.
Support infants feeding on demand with food/bottles. Holds infants while feeding.
Take lead to set up for meals, snacks. Supervise lunches, snacks and breakfasts. Assist with clean up following meals. Eat with children in a family-style setting if age appropriate.
Assist with children's attendance & completes CACFP paperwork.
Inventories food and requests supplies as needed.
Complete Summer food services for children.
Assists with fluoride administration and record which children have received fluoride.
Follows CACFP, KDHE licensing standard and Head Start Performance Standards at all times.
Support and encourage families to be actively involved in the program and assist them in finding ways to volunteer.
Supports coordination of progress of each child to share with parents and assist with developing an individual plan together for their child.
Supports home visits and/or school conferences.
Requirements
Requires:
High School Diploma or equivalent, willing to begin an education plan to obtain a CDA credential or an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
A love for teaching and the ability to build a trusting relationship with students, teachers and parents.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds for various classroom and event needs.
Prefer:
Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

Position Overview: The Adult Case Manager will deliver high-quality medically necessary services within the Community Support Program to persons residing in the community. The role of the Case Manager is to co-partner with individuals in creating conditions in which recovery and optimal mental health is most likely to occur. The Adult Case Manager will be responsible for service delivery that is guided by the philosophy and practices of the Strengths Model of Case Management.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop continuous, supportive working relationships with identified clients;
2. Complete progress notes documenting use of interventions for codes billed.
3. Maintain direct client contacts predominately in non-office settings;

1. Answer the telephone within 2 rings if possible and take messages accurately and completely. 2. Restocks automated dispensing units on all nursing units accurately and in a timely manner. Provides stock to areas which do not contain a Pyxis as needed.
3. Runs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Pyxis reports. Monitors Pyxis use and reports misuse or possible diversion to Pharmacy Director. Optimizes stock in Pyxis units.
4. Responsible for accurately maintaining narcotic records.
5. Aseptically clean the IV hood. Complete annual aseptic technique training. Follow USP 797 guidelines for IV preparation, cleaning the glove box, etc…
6. Accurately prepare the IV medications and document.
7. Batch, restock and reorder IV medications and supplies as necessary.
8. Follow USP 800 guidelines for Hazardous Material handling. Complete required training.
9. Restock and reorder medications in the department. Accurately and adequately order from the wholesaler. Check in and scan the order from the wholesaler. Correct bar code information and NDC numbers in the computer as needed.
10. Perform the regular station inspections. Remove outdated medications from Pyxis or other locations. Check code carts and other "kits" for outdates.
11. Monitor pharmacy shortages and recalls. Work with Pharmacy Director to find replacement products.
12. Assist in taking inventory.
13. Package bulk medications into unit dose containers and keep accurate records of re-packaging. Maintain packaging machine.
14. Fill employee prescriptions, both for regular prescription and over the counter medications. Run required daily reports. Send KTRACS report daily. Run prescriptions for department purchases and external sales.
15. Assist Pharmacist with medication reconciliations.
16. Do tech-check-tech for non-judgmental pharmacy tasks, such as Pyxis fills, OR cart, etc.
17. Assist in any other clerical duties assigned by the department manager.
18. Maintain confidentiality of information concerning patient, medical staff, other employees, job applicants and the hospital itself. (As per Confidentiality Policy).
19. Responsible for one or more of the following, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager:
a. Pyxis Specialist: Responsible for Pyxis set-up, optimizing Pyxis, and monitoring Pyxis use. Schedule required updates and assist with maintenance. Monitor controlled substance use throughout facility using Pyxis reports.
b. Meditech Specialist: Responsible to assist in ongoing task resolution and for testing before each upgrade. Work with Accounting and Billing Departments to ensure correct pharmacy charges.
c. Buyer Specialist: Meet with drug reps, take phone calls from salespeople, monitor drug shortages and identify and order replacements to maintain needed inventory. Notify Pharmacists of shortages to obtain direction for possible alternatives. Responsible for coordinating outdates and pharmaceutical waste disposal. Responsible for pre-booking and returning flu vaccine.
d. USP Specialist (USP 797 & 800): Act as USP 797 and USP 800 enforcer. Responsible for facility-wide testing being completed and documented within a required timeframe. Responsible to communicate timeframes and requirements for competencies and review documentation to assure competencies are completed by pharmacy personnel and others throughout facility.
20. As assigned by Pharmacy Manager: Function as mentor with new technicians, technician students and pharmacy students. Monitor orientation checklist completion.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read, write clearly, and type accurately.
Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Must be certified (CPhT).
