  • CMM Operator Immediate Opening With Growing Company

    Job DescriptionEstablished Peoria Area Company needs experienced CMM personnel to help us meet our customer demands. This is a management salaried position with some extended work hours possible. We are looking for self-starters who are not afraid to put in the effort to help make their company a success. Some of the job responsibilities include: * Operation of CMM(s) to determine acceptance or rejection of product via first piece and in-process inspections. Especially useful would be experience operating FARO arm! * Communicating with Machine Shop personnel, both management and operators to facilitate production of high quality products in a timely manner Basic qualifications include: * 2 years' experience operating CMM * CNC machining experience * Strong blueprint reading skills * Extensive knowledge and experience with hand gages (including calipers, inside micrometer, o.d. mic., depth mic., height gage, chamfer gage, groove mic., thread gages, dial bore indicator, etc.) * Have problem solving skills, be self-motivated, and willing to make sure 2nd shift work is within spec (some personnel oversight/guidance may be needed) * Must be physically fit and able to manipulate heavy parts * Familiarity with ISO standards and Caterpillar IE specifications Highly desirable qualifications include: * Ability to program PC-DMIS and/or FARO * PPAP/Gage R & R/SPC knowledge * Familiar with GAGETRAK calibration software * Familiar with requirements of ISO 9001:2015 * Experience mentoring other CMM personnel * Experience in preparing data packages for PPAP * Knowledge of foundry processes * 3D scanning knowledge and experience Benefits include immediate eligibility for group health and dental programs, and 401k with company match after a short waiting period.
