Casting Finisher (Chipping/Grinding large iron castings) Work Hours: 3am-11:30pm (or 1:30pm for 10 hours shifts) Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Clean castings by removing fins, burnt-on sand, and excess metal per required specifications in preparation for customer shipment. Operation of overhead cranes and /or jib cranes (pendant and radio controlled) to place castings at workstation and shipment area. Select the appropriate heavy chains and hooks for casting size, shape, and weight. Assist in loading and unloading trucks, weigh-in trucks as necessary, use scale and record data. Clean-up of workstation and surrounding work areas. Perform other duties as assigned.
