The Respite Associate provides occasional care for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The primary responsibilities of the Respite Associate are supervising activities, providing companionship and coordinating care with caregivers in the client's residence and in the community.
Role will primarily require working evening and weekend shifts to accommodate our client families' needs outside of school hours and typical weekday work schedules, with some daytime hours based on client and program need. Our skilled staff will provide you with the training you need to feel comfortable and confident providing respite services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide quality care for people with disabilities by actively engaging the clients with recreational activities in the home or community setting, such as: arts & crafts, games, music, computer, socialization, reading, and other activities based on client choice.
Provide support to clients with basic living skills which includes toileting, hygiene care, food prep, feeding assistance, dressing, chores, and other activities that are fundamental to daily living.
Adhere to the rules of the respite program, following agency policies and procedures.
Follow family's home rules, respecting cultural and other home practices.
Observe and apply safety protocols as needed to ensure safety for both clients and staff.
Complete and submit timely and accurate billing-related data.
Maintain confidentiality of client data in adherence with HIPAA requirements.
Provide occasional coverage for our Kaleidoscope Adult Community program on weekdays during regular business hours, which focuses on daily living and community interaction skills in a clinic or community setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
High School diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Prior experience in a care-taking role for persons with disabilities preferred.
Willing to work evening and weekend shifts, with some daytime hours based on client and program need.

About the Role:
The Program Supervisor position offers a rewarding opportunity to utilize your clinical skills and collaborate with a dedicated team. You will conduct assessments, design and implement ABA programs, and provide direct services to children with ASD and other diagnoses. Program Supervisors are scheduled a balance of telehealth, in-clinic and in-home client sessions within one of the following regions: Fairfield, CA; Petaluma, CA; Walnut Creek, CA; Dublin, CA; Oakland, CA; San Jose, CA; and Burlingame, CA.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments such as VB-MAPP, SSIS, FAST, Skills Streaming and EFL to identify client strengths, needs, and target behaviors.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (BIPs) based on assessment results and best practices in ABA.
* Provide direct ABA services to clients, implementing interventions and teaching new skills.
* Supervise and/or mentor caregivers and other direct care staff, ensuring treatment fidelity and providing ongoing support and training.
* Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the client's care.
* Monitor client progress through data collection and analysis, making data-based decisions to adjust treatment plans as needed.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, session notes, and assessment reports.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing clinical expertise and contributing to collaborative decision-making.
* Stay current with the latest research and developments in ABA, attend conferences and engage in professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
* Bachelor's degree in an applicable field and 2 years of ABA experience required.
* Candidates with at least 12 semester units in ABA will be considered if they are close to meeting the experience requirement.
* Significant knowledge of ABA as a discipline, familiar with the field of ABA, and knowledgeable of other community resources and agencies that serve children.

The Early Interventionist provides specialized developmental intervention and monitoring to children, ages 0 to 5, who have an identified developmental delay or may be at risk of delay. The Early Interventionist works closely with families, care providers and with members of the Regional Centers' interdisciplinary team to monitor and support children's development to create a rich learning environment for the child to make progress, meet treatment goals and maximize learning potential.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Provides developmental monitoring and intervention to children, ages 0-5, who have been identified as having, or being at risk of developmental delay or disability.
* Model's strategies and provide education to parents/care providers/families to promote their child's unique development.
* Sets and monitors child's goals in accordance with the child's Individualized Family Service Plan.
* Collaborates with Regional Centers' service coordinators and interdisciplinary team members.
* Meets productivity requirements for assigned caseload and provides effective intervention strategies, materials, and communication, both with families and with the interdisciplinary team.

Supervise, train, and mentor Program Supervisors and Registered Behavior Technicians in ABA concepts, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery. Conduct fidelity checks and performance reviews, providing constructive coaching and feedback to maximize team effectiveness.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other service providers, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to implement ABA techniques in the home, extending the impact of our services.
Manage client documentation, regularly review data, and submit timely progress reports to insurance providers, ensuring compliance and facilitating access to necessary services.
Qualifications:
Education Required
: Master's degree in related field
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA ) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) certification in good standing .
Three years of experience working with children and/or adults with autism, including experience administering the ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, and/or Essentials for Living.
At least 12 units of coursework from an approved BACB course sequence or equivalent experience and demonstrated skills in ABA programming and case supervision.
Two or more years of experience providing staff direction and development in a supervisory role.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, lift up to 40 lbs, and be comfortable spending time on your feet.
Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to policies.
Demonstrated integrity and adherence to the BACB Ethical Code.
Conditions of Employment:
Must be able to manage the physical and emotional demands of the role, including frequent exposure to disability disorders, occasional emergency situations and trauma, and constant client contact requiring concentration and sound decision-making.
Occasional driving (to and from office and client homes) is required.
Must be able to travel to multiple work sites and client homes; reliable transportation is needed.
