Under indirect supervision and following JWCE's Standard Operating Procedures, the Final Assembler performs a variety of repetitive and low complexity assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of JWCE's family of products and equipment. Assembly process may include fitting, mounting, aligning, adjusting, fit-and-function testing, repairing, troubleshooting and diagnosing, as well as training of entry level assemblers. Job Description PIVOT POINT INC. a manufacturer of non-threaded fasteners located in Hustisford, WI is seeking qualified candidates to fill a few Light Assembly position(s). $18-19/hour to start. Full time--2nd Shift 2nd Shift--Monday thru Thursday 2:20pm-12:50am, plus overtime as needed. Training would be Monday--Thurs on 1st shift for 1-2 months. Qualified individual must be able to assemble lanyards and fastener parts according to blue print and shop order for dimensions and tolerances. Requires strong hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity with small parts. Manually and mechanically assemble lanyards, rings, or other metal parts. Operates machines and performs duties in a safe manner. Maintains expected rates for production. Read simple blue prints and QC sheets for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances. Participates and works well as a team member and able to work independently and make knowledgeable decisions. Engages in excellent housekeeping and safety practices. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Able to frequently lift/move 10 pounds, occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to pass pre-hire and random drug screens. Ideal candidates will have solid, long-term, consistent work history. Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled assembler to perform a variety of tasks as assigned in conjunction with the assembly of our product. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. This position is responsible for safely performing high-level continuous work to quality standards. Assignments may change based on business demands. Responsibilities: * Perform repetitive progressive line assembly of parts, and sub-assemblies on any line within the plant, in accordance with predetermined standard work. * Read, understand, and apply method sheets, assembly diagrams, and blueprints. ? * Detect quality defects and unsafe conditions. * Be knowledgeable and follow all applicable safety rules and procedures. * Read print drawings to determine dimensions, design, and materials for construction. * Operate power pneumatic and hand tools required for performing job duties. * Effectively use measuring devices such as tape measures and levels. * Loading and unloading onto conveyors and carts, operating fork trucks, and hoists. * Work in a team environment and assist co-workers in other areas as needed/directed, suggesting process improvement ideas. * Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. * Perform general housekeeping of the work area. * Tasks can include but are not limited to: brazing, soldering, operating machines and presses, hanging and unhanging parts, and performing quality checks and tests. * All other duties as assigned by the supervisor/team leader. Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED * 1+ years of experience with Mechanical Environment Core Competencies: * Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures. * Able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices. * Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems, and willingness to learn. * Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions. * Team oriented, must have the ability to work cohesively with others. * Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment. * Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
