The Faculty of Rapid Prototype Machinist provides classroom, laboratory, and related instruction under the supervision of the Department Chair and is responsible for planning and providing student instruction in accordance with approved syllabi, curriculum guidelines, and required program standards. Salary range is $52,274-62,274 depending on education and experience; faculty are offered 12-month contracts for 166 workdays between August-May. This is a grant-funded position that has no guarantee of employment beyond the duration of the grant. Experience * At least 3 years of professional experience in machining, CNC operation, or rapid prototyping * Teaching experience in post-secondary or technical education. * Experience in curriculum development and course design. * Experience working in or managing a maker space or prototyping lab. * Experience with digital fabrication tools (e.g., laser cutters, electronics prototyping) preferred License/Certification * Possession of or ability to obtain Colorado CTE credential within first year * Possession of or post-hire willingness to obtain NIMS (National Institute for Machinist) credentials or willingness to obtain OSHA or industry safety certifications.
