The Invasive Radiological Technologist provides fundamental technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for safe and effective operation or radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison.
Estimated pay range for this position is $29.84 - $41.78 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support Certified Radiologic Technologist ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiography Additional Qualifications: Registered Radiologic Technologist from an accredited school of Radiological Technology and current Florida license. Associates of Science or Bachelors of Science preferred. Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credentials and proof of eligibility for advanced certification required (VI,CV,CI for IVR and RCIS or RCES for Cath Lab). Completes a minimum of 12 CEUs annually (10 CEUs must be CV related).

Job Summary:
Requiring a minimal level of supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Cardio-Vascular Interventional Technologist is responsible for addressing the special needs of patients undergoing interventional angiography procedures. The Technologist provides direct patient care specific to their discipline, to include basic monitoring, assisting the physician with invasive radiographic procedures, and documenting appropriately. These specialists are members of the Patient Care Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care. Patients served may include adolescent through adult-geriatric as a Cardio-Vascular Interventional Tech; infant through adult-geriatric as a Radiology Technologist.
What You Need to Be Successful:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduation from an approved and accredited radiology educational program required.
- Registration from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists and license as a Medical Radiologic Technologist in the state of Maryland is required.
- Current ACLS certification preferred.
- Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
