Perform public relations work in public safety, law enforcement, traffic accidents and crime prevention, and make routine checks of public dances, licensed liquor establishments and other public gatherings (i.e. sporting events, or other special community events). Render assistance and information to the public as well as emergency first aid or lifesaving methods to accident victims or persons unable to help themselves. Perform related duties as required.
Selection is based upon civil service rules. Testing includes a written exam, physical agility test, and oral interview. BOARD MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteer Board members provide oversight and guidance to ensure CCHD continues delivering exceptional care. Responsibilities include:
Attend Monthly Board Meetings - Meetings occur on the first Thursday of every month (12 per year).
Committee Participation - Board members may be asked to serve on committees that explore specific areas affecting CCHD operations.
Meeting Preparation - Review board meeting reports before each session, including financial updates, project status, and department reports.
Strategic Planning - Engage in long-term planning to guide the direction of healthcare services within the district.
Collaboration - Foster strong working relationships with fellow board members and district leadership.
Other Duties - Participate in additional responsibilities as they arise to support the health district's mission.
DISTRICT RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
All board members must reside within the Clatsop Care Health District boundaries. The district covers all of Clatsop County except for the cities of Seaside, Gearhart, and Cannon Beach, which are part of the Seaside Health District. Resident Care Attendant, Caregiver, Nursing Assistant
$20 per hour job in Astoria, OR
Responsible for Resident services and other duties as assigned, and the appropriate delegation of duties to the other staff and volunteers. Duties include personal services housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, delegated tasks, medication assistance, meal services, and other tasks as needed for Resident well-being.
REPORTS TO: HEALTH SERVICES DIRECTOR/DESIGNEE
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Resident.
Receives and gives report from the previous shift.
Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
Reads the staff communication records and maintains familiarity with Resident records as required.
Assists with orientation of new staff to job responsibilities.
Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADL's, environmental orientation, assistance with other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
Assists with setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up afterwards.
Provides services as indicated on Resident service plans, including but not limited to bathing assistance, toileting assistance, transfer, and mobility assistance.
Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors, including housekeeping services for Residents.
Observes problems, concerns, and issues with Resident units, the building, and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately.
Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules.
Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
Records Resident information as required..
Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency situations.
Assists with individual Resident and group social recreational activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform non-invasive resident treatments in accordance with resident care plans.
Perform medication administration and assistance and properly account for medication including narcotics in accordance with state law.
Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following company and regulatory guidelines.

Crisis Response Specialist II
$20 per hour job in Longview, WA

Position Information: The Longview Police Behavioral Health Unit (BHU), comprised of Crisis Response Specialists working under the general direction of a Police Sergeant, works in collaboration with police personnel to respond to incidents involving individuals that are experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Through this program, Crisis Response Specialists assist police officers with situational de-escalation and crisis intervention as co-responders. BHU resources also provide emergency responders with additional options to divert individuals to behavioral health resources as an alternative to incarceration which have not been readily available in the past. BHU members cultivate and maintain professional relationships with organizations in the community that provide behavioral health resources to direct and refer individuals to the appropriate community resources. These resources could include in-patient and outpatient mental health and SUD services, respite care, primary care clinics, and other support services. BHU members work closely with the department's Community Outreach Coordinator addressing individuals in crisis due to homelessness. BHU members also assist the department's Community Outreach Coordinator in following up on individuals who are in the Therapeutic Court program. In addition to responding with officers to incidents, the Crisis Response Specialists have access to view pending police calls for service within the computer-aided-dispatch system. When it is safe and appropriate, Crisis Response Specialists may respond to incidents involving community members experiencing a behavioral health crisis without a police officer present.
This position is Grant funded and is a limited duration position with the possibility of being extended.
Incumbents will be subject to passing an extensive pre-employment criminal background check.
* Provide rapid crisis interview & assessment to assist individuals with mental health, substance use, homelessness and other social service needs.
* Assist the target population with obtaining resources as needed.
* Serve as liaison with Longview Police Department and other City departments, outside agencies, businesses, and the community as it relates to areas of assigned responsibility.
* Act as the primary liaison between mental health community providers and law enforcement.
* Make referrals to appropriate service providers and coordinate service delivery.
* Follow-up with identified individuals and/or emergency medical contacts and social service providers. Consult with other agency professionals on difficult cases.
* Identify potential resources and partnerships that contribute to the program's development and oversee community outreach as it relates to areas of assigned responsibility.
* Establish and maintain rapport with the population served.
* Provide information, consultation and make referrals to appropriate service providers and coordinate service delivery.
* Conduct outreach to the community and work with outreach workers from other agencies to provide a broader outreach approach.
* Provide and/or coordinate training to police personnel regarding behavioral health, substance use, trauma spectrum disorders, and other behavioral health topics as identified.
* Transport ill or disoriented persons to shelters, treatment centers, or other social service agencies within Longview and/or neighboring jurisdictions on an as-needed basis.
* Transport individuals to necessary non-emergency medical care within Longview and neighboring jurisdictions on an as-needed basis.
* Prepare activity reports based on contacts and service.
* Regular and reliable attendance is required.
* Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.Crisis Response Specialist II
* Bachelor's degree in social welfare, psychology, social work or a related field AND four years of experience performing mental health outreach or as a substance abuse specialist and/or working with individuals with acute or severe mental health concerns; OR any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
* Prior experience working with first responders, especially law enforcement, in the field to assist persons in crisis or persons experiencing houselessness, desired.
* Previous experience working in houseless outreach and coordination, desired.
* Mental health professional in accordance with WAC ************, desired.
* Must successfully complete criminal background check.
Licensing Requirements
