BACKGROUND
Description of Cleveland/Northeast Ohio:

Primary Function:
The President/CEO is the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland and is responsible for the overall operations, property, and employees of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland. The President/CEO also acts as the representative of the Bishop regarding health and human services in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. The President/CEO provides broad long-term and short-term strategic and business planning, leadership, direction, structure, resources, communications, reporting, and assessment to ensure the organization's mission as stated in the Corporation's Code of Regulations and the direction adopted by the Members and/or Board of Directors is accomplished.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The President/CEO ensures that the activities of this position, assigned entities, and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, and the Catholic Church. The President/CEO directs the provision of all services provided by Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland and acts as primary representative for Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland with Catholic Charities USA and related
responsibilities.
The President/CEO will identify the impact of the social teachings of the church on health and human services and programs, promote an awareness of the health and human service needs within the diocese, and guide advocacy in various forums for social reform to meet those needs.
They will also promote the services of Catholic Charities to the local communities and organizations within the region and the Diocese through public presentations, articles, appearances, and public relations efforts as well as coordinate the provision of services and programs of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland annual goals and objectives into business work plans and oversee execution of the same with the support of the Board of Directors.
The President/CEO will collaborate with the Catholic Community Foundation in setting the goal of the annual Catholic Charities Appeal and in determining the total allocation of funds provided and direct the distribution of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland funding on an annual basis. They will also approve and administer the annual budget for Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland in accordance with policies and procedures and sound general accounting
principles to achieve a successful annual audit. The President/CEO will attend meetings of the Board of Directors and various committees of
the corporation and perform other duties and responsibilities appropriate to the position and as requested by the Members and/or Board of Directors.
Role as Secretary of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities
The successful candidate will be appointed by the Bishop as Diocesan Secretary of the
Secretariat for Catholic Charities and will serve in that capacity at the pleasure of the Bishop.
The role of Secretary of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities is as an advisor to the Bishop and
member of the Bishop's staff and is distinct from the role as President/CEO of the Corporation.
The role of Secretary will require completion of additional duties, including:
• Status as an ex officio member and/or director of certain affiliated corporations,
including without limitation Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland, St. Augustine
Health Ministries, and the Diocese of Cleveland Facilities Services Corporation.
• Serving as a member of the Bishop's Senior Staff engaged in the planning and
coordination of the work of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland.
• Collaborating as needed with Auxiliary Bishops, diocesan Secretaries, and other
diocesan officials.
• Acting as liaison for the Bishop with other entities within the Secretariat.
• Supporting ministry to the pastoral and spiritual needs of agencies and offices within
the Secretariat.

Professional Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in a related discipline with 5 - 10 years of progressive senior/executive
level management of multiple facets of business including staffing, budget/finance,
nonprofit fund development strategies, service design, and operations management
experience.
• Must be a fully initiated and practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church with
solid background and knowledge of the policies and practices of the church.
• Must have proven impactful executive level management experience in health and
human services, non-profit business management practices, and financial management.
• Knowledgeable of the structure of the Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland system
and the regional human services/non-profit sector.
• Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
• Fiscal, administrative, and supervisory/management experience required with experience in a non-profit setting preferred.
• Must have a capacity to build and sustain a strategic and impactful partnership network as demonstrated through previous board involvement, community
partnership experience, etc.
• Must have the ability to effectively manage people/operations engaged in a variety of concurrent and varying activities.
• Must have the ability to effectively relate to a wide variety of stakeholders, both professional and volunteer, as well as organizations and systems, both public and
private.
• Must be able to coordinate, prioritize, and respond to multiple issues at the same time.
• Must have demonstrated business acumen, excellent organizational skills, and strong detail orientation with the ability to work independently. Must be able to make sound decisions and practice discretion.
• Must have good technical proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office software products.

Utility Worker:
With direct supervision, operate and maintain van equipment. Maintain records of use, mileage, repairs and service. Transport seniors to and from the program center and interact with them as a recreational aide during program hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direction ensure that the activities of this program and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities Health and Human Services and Catholic Charities Services Corporation.
Act as an advocate for clients.

Take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of passengers, equipment, and cargo.
Service vehicle as required with gas, oil and coolant and preform other preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain the vehicle according to manufacturer's specifications.
Clean and wash vehicle as necessary, inside, and out, to remove salt deposits, dust, dirt, or water/snow accumulation.
Check all headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, hazard lights, and tires, exhaust system, hand brake, etc., to verify safety systems of the assigned vehicle are in proper working order. Maintain records indicating date, items inspected, defects noted, repair dates, etc.
Notify Supervisor when there are problems with the facility and program vehicles.
Secure company vehicles after every use.
Assist with preparation and set-up for special events.
Remove trash from senior dining room areas as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements:
Must have good written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
Must be able to read and write English.
A verified safe driving record in the State of Ohio with no greater than four (4) points and provide a copy of license. Driving record will be obtained through Motor Vehicle Abstract annually. Any MVR grade of “unacceptable” is not permitted to operate a company or personal vehicle on behalf of Catholic Charities.
Must pass an alcohol and drug test conducted by an institution approved by the Ohio Medical Transportation Board.
Current certification in First Aid and CPR/AED or obtain within 6 months from date of hire.
Must have a certificate of completion of a Defensive Driving course attained within 6 months from date of hire, with 4-hour refresher course every three years thereafter.
If transporting older and/or disabled adults, must have a certificate of completion of a DRIVE-Transporting Older and Disabled Adults course attained within 6 months from date of hire, and complete a DRIVE-Refresher course every 3 years thereafter.

Shelter Assistant
Assist clients in accordance with program objectives. Ensure that the site programs operate in a smooth manner in conjunction with mission. May oversee daily operation of shelter or cafeteria.
Responsibilities:

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Reading, writing and finger dexterity to manage data entry, faxing, copying, answering phones, forms/documents, computer and client files required on a frequent basis.

What You Will Do:
Receive vendor meals and ensure all items are present at the time of delivery. Heat and serve meals. Ensure that meal substitutes for children with documented allergies or medical conditions are available and that meal substitutes are adhered to during serving. Maintain the food service area including ensuring that it is clean and free from clutter at all times.
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly classroom area.
May also actively supervise children at all times and engaging in children's play in all areas of the classroom and support all parts of the Creative curriculum including floor play, outdoor/gross motor and music/movement activities.

Network Administrator:
As a Network Administrator at Catholic Charities of Cleveland, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including network management, user support, system administration, and security. Responsibilities:
End-to-end management and maintenance of our network infrastructure across 28 sites
Utilize technologies such as Cisco Meraki (Firewalls, Switches, APs), Sophos Firewalls, and Cisco Layer 2/3 Switching
Ensure operational reliability for day-to-day business connectivity, proactive security monitoring through log analysis and rogue Wi-Fi device detection, and managing the Client VPN infrastructure.
Work closely with the cyber Security and Systems Administrator teams to implement new safety measure
Manage technical collaboration with external vendors for major projects like site openings and closings
Maintain comprehensive network documentation
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
Implementing and maintaining network security policies and procedures
Managing network user accounts and permissions
Troubleshoot network issues and resolve user connectivity problems.
Monitor network performance and identify potential problems.
Implement and maintain network security best practices, including user access control and vulnerability management.

Program Statement:
Catholic Charities' Outpatient Mental Health Program is hiring an experienced, communicative and compassionate individual to serve as a therapist for our Ashland office. The individual will serve a wide range of people of various ages. The program offers creative treatment for children from preschool age through high school and their families of Ashland County to enhance their strengths while treating each individual with professionalism and respect. The youth served may have experience severe trauma with abuse and/or neglect. Referrals may come from a variety of sources such as Children Services, Juvenile Court, schools, pediatricians or others. We are a faith-based organization that provides professional services without regard to a person's personal belief system and are certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. We provide comprehensive clinical assessments for mental health and/or substance abuse.
What you will be doing:
Apply evidence-based practices to help those we serve to achieve positive outcomes.
Provide trauma informed care to clients that may have abused/neglected.
Meet/exceed all productivity and notes/clinical documentation requirements (and other professional and operating standards) as defined by our organization, licensing, and accrediting bodies.
Foster a supportive environment by developing therapeutic relationships with those we serve and strong professional relationships with our colleagues and leadership. Provide timely communication with referral sources and program funders.
Provide excellent care to children and their families in the office, home, school and/or community setting as clinically indicated. Services may be offered individually or in a group setting.

Requirements:

Senior Grants Specialist:
As a member of the advancement department of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, the senior grants specialist position develops strategy for and coordinates a comprehensive grant-seeking program to support assigned programs, which collectively deliver more than 150 services at 60 locations across an 8-county service area to more than 400,000 individuals each year. The senior grants specialist works closely with system and program directors, finance, human resources and other departments, as appropriate.
As a member of the Catholic Charities advancement team, coordinates grant activities with private/corporate foundations, as well as county, state and federal government funding opportunities. These tasks include coordination of prospect research, deadline tracking, grant proposal and report submissions, budget development, grant administration, applicable consultant oversight and related projects for the Catholic Charities advancement department.
Responsible for securing grant awards for Catholic Charities with the goal of a 20% increase year-over-year annually.
Collaborates and serves as a key liaison with Catholic Charities program leadership, caregivers, finance officers and advancement staff throughout the proposal development process, especially related to program design and outcomes.
Works in partnership with the performance improvement department to determine metrics and support the tracking of data. Pulls data from performance improvement dashboards as needed and coordinates post-award evaluation and reporting.
Maintains ongoing communication with program staff related to financial compliance, limitations, activities and outcomes.
Manages and/or assigns relationships with external funders, including program officers, corporate representatives and government officials. Convenes and leads site visits.
Prepares and submits outcome narrative and financial grant reports in a timely manner.
Ensure grant information is maintained by teams in related databases.
Oversee the workflow for grant writing efforts and how assignments will be made. Provides guidance to junior grant writer(s) while leading major grant activities in the areas of largest ROI, including for behavioral health (mental health and substance use disorder); multi-site services; early learning, and emergency assistance services.
Participate in weekly senior-level advancement leadership meetings with senior director of advancement and others to discuss department planning, challenges and visioning.
Participates in monthly Catholic Charities meetings with Catholic Community Foundation to share updates and work in a complementary manner.

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Minimum of eight years' experience writing proposals and managing grants in the nonprofit sector. Proven track record and demonstrated expertise in grant writing and program development. Experience in social/human services and health fields preferred but not required. Knowledge of major public funders is preferred.
Strategic and programming skills are critical to this role.
Knowledge of and experience in all facets of grants and foundation relations, including research, proposal development, budget development, familiarity with online applications, and administration and reporting of grants.
Excellent writing and strong verbal communication skills, with ability to transform ideas into compelling narratives. Must be able to explain complex technical information in a way that is understandable to the layperson.

The Catholic Charities Early Learning/Head Start program provides high quality, comprehensive approach to services for both children and families that includes early learning education, professional development, family engagement, health and nutrition, and mental health and disabilities services. We serve children and families in eight locations in Cuyahoga County. All of our sites are 5-Star Highly-Rated by the State of Ohio's Step Up to Quality program.
What You Will Do:
Create and deliver high-quality educational experiences utilizing the Creative Curriculum to children 6 weeks to 5 years old while ensuring the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of children at all times.
Actively supervise children at all times and engage in children's play in all areas of the classroom and all parts of the curriculum including floor play, outdoor/gross motor and music/movement activities.
Complete all educational paperwork and documentation in education databases while maintaining compliance with all federal, state and Universal Pre-K regulations.

Offseason Program Manager
To assist in maintaining and overseeing all elements of offseason programs at Camp Christopher. When programs are not in session, applicants will assist in maintenance tasks direction or property manager (s).
Responsibilities:
Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
Ensure that practices and procedures specific to Camp Christopher are followed.
Offseason Programming:
Develop and sustain partnerships with groups/schools.
Communicate with the group contacts to coordinate their visit as directed.
Schedule selected courses/activities and ensure that courses/activities remain faithful to intended camper outcomes and organizational values.
Supervise completion of all necessary documentation and paperwork including but not limited to staffing assignments and schedules, incident reports, etc.
Prioritize camper/staff safety.
Assist in the interviewing and training of instructors and program staff.
Assign instructors to lead courses and activities.
Provide supervision and assistance to instructors and program staff in performance of duties. Contribute to the performance evaluation process as directed.
Lead outdoor educational activities that foster values aligned with camp mission and vision.
Facilitate special activity areas based on expertise and certification level.
Perform support tasks as needed including but not limited to assist in the kitchen, clean bathrooms, cabins, grounds etc…, sleep in cabins, if necessary, manage equipment, etc.
Standards
Ensure compliance with all standards and requirements set by relevant accrediting bodies.
Ensure that instructors are adhering to the course curriculum, are aware of responsibilities/expectations, and remain faithful to the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) standards
Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives.
Oversee group rentals, retreats, and other offseason bookings, serving as the primary point of contact for group leaders.”
Coordinate logistics for group rentals and retreats, including scheduling, staffing, facility's needs, and activity planning.
Ensure all group rental and retreat programs align with camp mission, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Maintenance Duties:
Assist in maintaining and overseeing the facilities, equipment, building, and grounds of Camp Christopher in a manner that supports program operations
Inspect, trouble shoot, and repair facilities as directed
Communicate and report findings and recommendations to various parties in a professional manner.
Maintain positive working relationships with camp and management as to assure that the property sufficiently operates under their programmatic needs.
During summer season, assist with other duties as assigned
Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Skills needed for daily communication with campers/staff and giving instructions.
Candidate must have physical ability for walking long distances, frequent standing, leading physical camp activities, fulfilling facility maintenance, withstand all weather outdoor environments, and deal with loud noise
Must be able to frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Tasks require visual perception and discrimination;)
Analyzing and interpreting data.
Frequent use of computers and telephone/cell phone.
Requirements:
Combination of experience and education is normally represented by a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Education or related field preferred.
Previous experience working with children preferred.
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
Must have competent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must have strong organizational skills, be detailed oriented, the ability to have a flexible schedule, including potential to work evenings and weekends, and work as part of a team.
Must be able to exercise excellent judgment and be clear thinking in a crisis.
Current certification in First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain certification.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office including email and internet.

Social Worker Foster Care
As a Social Work at Catholic Charities, you will perform as a team member with existing public and/or private agency staff in the coordination of services to ensure successful placement, referral and follow up services for children and families. Complete required documentation as per contracts and/or agreements with public children's services agencies and/or private contract agencies. In addition, ensure that all activities and documentation are in compliance as required per contract agreements, state/federal laws and Ohio Department of Children and Youth Services (DCY) rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and the relevant programs are consistent
with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
Monitor assigned foster homes to assure DCY standards are met.
Demonstrate knowledge of current Child Welfare practices and approaches consistent with local, regional and national initiatives and applicable State and National Legislation. Must remain committed to receiving on-going training relevant to Foster Care and ensuring foster families are in compliance with DCY.
Maintain and meet all required continuing education as defined by system, certification, assessor requirements and Ohio licensure boards as appropriate.
Monitor individual care plan for foster children and conduct necessary assessments and treatments as therapeutic needs arise.
Participate in quality improvement activities; attend appropriate court hearings and case staffing on a consistent basis.
Supervise/evaluate foster caregivers and foster children.
Participate in on-going supervision to ensure quality of services within foster care services.
Understand the usage of, and appropriately complete system documents, reports and client records.
Implement, utilize and/or participate in system policies, procedures, and operations by: following directives of clinical/administrative staff, designee, or responsible party assisting in the efficient and professional operation of site business and serving as a liaison to other sites and/or departments.
Demonstrate the ability to meet system expectations for direct services with clients and families as defined within the scope of service.
Respond to calls on an on-going and emergency basis to meet the needs of foster and biological families.
Ensures mental health assessments are conducted accurately and submitted within required timeframes.
Accountable for delivering Case Management (CPST) services and maintaining compliance with productivity requirements
Understand the rights of clients in care and demonstrate cultural diversity and sensitivity. Is aware of and responsive to the cultural diversity needs presented by clients/families seeking services.
Knowledgeable and responsive to cultural diversity issues presented in the coordination of services for families.
Assist foster families in transportation needs of the foster children and/or other therapeutic related activities.
Provide and ensure the safety and rights of each client to whom direct service is provided by adhering to client right policies; providing clients with access to the child advocate; and reporting violations of client rights to appropriate supervisory personnel.
Provide access to the system child advocates and copy of grievance procedures to ensure rights and reporting to appropriate supervisory personnel.
Provide information to families about their rights and a description of services.
Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services or related field with 1-3 years related professional experience in an Adoption/Foster Care Agency in the coordination of services for children and families.
Must have LSW or licensure eligible.
Familiar with DCY rules and regulations for Foster Care and Adoptions.
Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
Home-study Assessor trained or in the training process and experienced in Home-study/Recertification and Supervision.
Knowledgeable and responsive to cultural diversity issues presented in the coordination of services for families.
Knowledge of DCY Administrative process and procedures for Certification/Recertification recommendations for Foster Care/Adoption.
Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds.
Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
Must have competent organizational skills, strong detail orientation and the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License, provide copy of driver's license, and are subject to a Moving Vehicle Report (MVR) check through the Department of Motor Vehicles annually. Any MVR grade of “unacceptable” is not permitted to operate a personal vehicle on behalf of Catholic Charities.
Must have reliable means of transportation for local travel.
Must provide proof of auto insurance including effective dates of coverage and maintain minimum liability insurance coverage of $100,000 per individual and $300,000 per occurrence for driving personal vehicle.
