Catholic Charities of Buffalo is hiring a Senior Mental Health Therapist for our Behavioral Health Program with Monsignor Carr Institute, serving clients across at our AppleTree Business Park location in Cheektowaga, NY. The Senior Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing clinical supervision and support to mental health clinical staff. Acts as site supervisor in the absence of the clinic supervisor. Is also directly responsible for the assessment and treatment of an assigned caseload of children and/or adults (site-dependent) with mental health diagnoses in an OMH-licensed outpatient behavioral health setting. This position will work Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5 PM.

Essential Functions
Orient new clients to treatment expectations and course of outpatient treatment.
Complete comprehensive initial assessments with each client to determine appropriateness for admission and help determine course of treatment.
Admit clients to the program as per policy and regulations; Make appropriate referral if client does not meet admission criteria.
Complete initial and ongoing treatment plans within the required time frames that include the current needs, strengths, safety, and corresponding plan of care for each client.
Provide individual/group/family therapy as prescribed in the client's treatment plan based on comprehensive person-centered assessment and planning.
Promptly and actively communicates with the client's family and designated collaterals and service providers; routinely collaborates with other Catholic Charities' programs to foster comprehensive client care.
Makes active attempts to re-engage clients who withdraw from treatment when clinically appropriate.
Discharge clients per policy and procedure. Promptly complete discharge summaries and send a copy to the appropriate referral sources as per policy and regulations to facilitate "warm" hand-offs.
Sessions are conducted based on clinical appropriateness and client preferences and may be a combination of in-person and teletherapy. Employee must utilize approved video platforms only for teletherapy appointments, meetings and collaboration with treatment team.
Produce accurate, timely and professionally formulated progress notes after each session or interaction that reflects the client's status, progress, and treatment plan goals;
Complete outpatient treatment review (OTR) forms in a prompt, professional, and efficient manner.
Complete required risk-related, reimbursement-related and electronic and paper documentation accurately, completely, and timely.
Completes case record self-audits on each client's chart as .
Assist supervisor to recruit, orient, and train new therapists.
Assist in monitoring therapist performance, including but not limited to providing clinical guidance, consultation, and direction.
Assist in provisional and annual performance evaluations as .
Maintain performance accountability and implement corrective supervisory action, as warranted.
Provide coverage as needed to meet clinic and client needs.
Facilitate professional development opportunities to support quality service provision.
Actively seeks guidance, consultation, and direction from the supervisor and members of the treatment team. Comes prepared to clinical supervision sessions and utilizes them as a means to improve clinical skills and expertise.
Participates in required staff meetings and designated training.
Attends other educational training to maintain skills.
Keep credential up to date including completion of required continuing education units (CEUs). The Agency provides many training opportunities, but some CEUs may need to be collected externally to meet individual needs.
Those hired with master's degrees only and/or provisional licensure must take all steps necessary to complete licensure.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), with New York State license (LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LMFT) is .
Demonstrated record of excellence in providing direct mental health treatment in a licensed clinic setting.
At least two (2) years professional mental health clinical experience.
At least one (1) year providing clinical supervision to students and/or clinical staff a plus.
Knowledge of New York State mental health regulations: Familiarity with state-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with WNY community and continuum of human services (health, behavioral health, social services, etc) systems, organizations and resources.
Cultural competency: Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Exceptional ability to communicate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Fluent in various computer applications (Word, Excel), electronic database systems, and electronic health records; experience with EMR systems a plus.
Previous supervisory experience a plus.

We require:
Master's degree in Creative Art Therapy

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the on-call coverage rotation.

Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC strongly preferred).
Licensed or license-eligible; 2-4 years of clinical experience preferred.
Strong understanding of mental health disorders and a range of therapeutic interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Proficiency with clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR).
Familiarity with OMH programming and Medicaid billing strongly preferred.

Job Summary:
The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day functions of the Enhanced Family Foster Care Socio-therapist Team. The Supervisor ensures the delivery of socio-therapist support in the home as indicated while ensuring the program adheres to the coordination of the delivery of services to the children and families in foster care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure the assignment of a socio-therapist for all eligible children.
· Actively monitors the delivery of socio-therapist services, including the weekly contact requirements.
· Provide weekly supervision to facilitate the service plan through therapeutic deliverables via Trauma Systems Therapy (TST).
· Manages the timely completion of Connections Progress notes.
· Review monthly progress notes submission for clarity, accuracy, and inclusion of the TST interventions.
· Work collaboratively sitting on the TST Experts team and function as part of the Agency Train the Trainer team (TOT).
· Intervene during crisis situations to help the child and family stabilize.
· In the absent of a socio-therapist, conduct ongoing face-to-face contact with the assigned children, in according with SSCF contact guidelines
· Manages employee progressive discipline when required
· Participates in ongoing training to enhance job skills
· Facilitates Treatment Team Meetings for new intakes as well as for families who are receiving socio-therapist services
· Ensures timely submission of fiscally related documents (i.e., check request for recreational activities, collection of receipts).
· Actively ensures the participation of the Socio-therapist in the Family's Case Plan through the incorporation of the child/youth's progress.
· Proactively reviews the child/youth's progress in services for recommendations of step-downs or ups in treatment.
· Ensures that the socio-therapists are prepared for participation in the Family Team, Placement Preservation, Goal Change, and Reunification Conferences.
· Attends Family Team, Placement Preservation, Goal Change and Reunification Conferences as needed
· Participate in ongoing training to enhance job skills
· Ensures timely and transparent staff evaluations with a lens toward the ongoing development
· Monitor all face-to-face contact with the child on caseload, adhering to SSCF socio-therapist contact guidelines.
· Timely response to all hotline and emergency calls, including nights and weekends.
· Perform all other duties as assigned by the EFFC Director and Vice President

Job Summary:
The Mental Health Consultant will provide expert guidance, support, and consultation to individuals, families, and staff within the Family Treatment Rehabilitation (FTR) program. This role is central to promoting the emotional well-being of families affected by mental health disorders. The consultant will assess mental health needs, develop intervention strategies, and contribute to creating a supportive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive environment. The candidate will work directly and collaboratively with internal teams to provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Hours and Schedule
Must be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays mornings from 10:00 am - 4:45 pm

Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments of individuals and families participating in the FTR program and submits documentation within a timely manner.
• Participates in the monthly Clinical Diagnostic Team Meetings and provides expert consultation and case guidance.
• Provides psychoeducation and mental health training or informational support for FTR staff on complex cases
• Participates and attends mandatory programmatic/agency trainings
• Ensures the integration of culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices into all aspects of care.
• Review internal intake assessments and mental health documentation to support in the identification of mental health concerns.
• Collaborates with FTR staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing mental health needs.
• Uphold ethical standards, always ensuring client confidentiality and professional conduct.

The Family Therapist/Clinician II provides skilled assessment and delivery of quality mental health care to youth and family in Community, Home, School, or Residential setting. This position will lead projects and mentor Clinician I staff as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
Assess Hillside youth and family needs through clinical interventions to treat and achieve positive outcomes.
Create, implement, evaluate, and modify, as needed, individual treatment plans to meet assessed client's unique needs as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Assess and facilitate referrals to Hillside services and resources.
Facilitate individual and group therapy, as well as family therapy, based on client needs.
Collaborate with other informal supports, community, and mental health providers to provide needed services to clients.
Develop, maintain, and retain all required documentation in a compliant and timely manner, including but not limited to, clinical assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Act as the primary contact for the treatment plan for youth being treated.
Take on more complex cases and work independently.
Supervise interns and provide team mentoring and clinical guidance to Clinician I and other staff.
Lead projects and provide clinical consultation and training to clinical staff as assigned.
May provide transportation for youth as needed to appointments, meetings, or appearances.

SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Psychotherapist will be responsible for providing psychotherapy to and managing the clinical needs of a caseload of adults living with serious mental illness. They will maintain consumer information in the electronic health record and coordinate services with other providers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides clinical treatment in accordance with scope of practice and regulations governing S:US' CCBHC OASAS 822 and Article 31 Outpatient Mental Health Clinics (Part 599 regulations and other applicable laws and regulations).
Actively monitors the integrity of consumer data; responsible for the reliability and accuracy of clinical data housed by S:US' Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management software; documents all services in accordance with S:US policies, NYSOMH regulations and all relevant federal laws; maintains the strict confidentiality of consumers currently engaged in or formerly a recipient of treatment services.
In coordination with relevant members of the SUS management team, conducts limited outreach and marketing to potential referral sources internal and external to S:US; active liaison with community service providers, hospitals, and other prospective referral sources is may be required.
Coordinates care with S:US nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and administrative staff; closely coordinates with clinicians external to S:US as appropriate.
Utilizes best and evidence-based approaches to treatment consistent with S:US' organizational culture; health/mental health integration, rehabilitation and recovery, and wellness approaches figure prominently.

Catholic Charities of Buffalo is hiring a Senior Mental Health Therapist for our Behavioral Health Program with Monsignor Carr Institute, serving clients across at our AppleTree Business Park location in Cheektowaga, NY. The Senior Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing clinical supervision and support to mental health clinical staff. Acts as site supervisor in the absence of the clinic supervisor. Is also directly responsible for the assessment and treatment of an assigned caseload of children and/or adults (site-dependent) with mental health diagnoses in an OMH-licensed outpatient behavioral health setting. This position will work Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5 PM.

Essential Functions
* Orient new clients to treatment expectations and course of outpatient treatment.
* Complete comprehensive initial assessments with each client to determine appropriateness for admission and help determine course of treatment.
* Admit clients to the program as per policy and regulations; Make appropriate referral if client does not meet admission criteria.
* Complete initial and ongoing treatment plans within the required time frames that include the current needs, strengths, safety, and corresponding plan of care for each client.
* Provide individual/group/family therapy as prescribed in the client's treatment plan based on comprehensive person-centered assessment and planning.
* Promptly and actively communicates with the client's family and designated collaterals and service providers; routinely collaborates with other Catholic Charities' programs to foster comprehensive client care.
* Makes active attempts to re-engage clients who withdraw from treatment when clinically appropriate.
* Discharge clients per policy and procedure. Promptly complete discharge summaries and send a copy to the appropriate referral sources as per policy and regulations to facilitate "warm" hand-offs.
* Sessions are conducted based on clinical appropriateness and client preferences and may be a combination of in-person and teletherapy. Employee must utilize approved video platforms only for teletherapy appointments, meetings and collaboration with treatment team.
* Produce accurate, timely and professionally formulated progress notes after each session or interaction that reflects the client's status, progress, and treatment plan goals;
* Complete outpatient treatment review (OTR) forms in a prompt, professional, and efficient manner.
* Complete required risk-related, reimbursement-related and electronic and paper documentation accurately, completely, and timely.
* Completes case record self-audits on each client's chart as required.
* Assist supervisor to recruit, orient, and train new therapists.
* Assist in monitoring therapist performance, including but not limited to providing clinical guidance, consultation, and direction.
* Assist in provisional and annual performance evaluations as required.
* Maintain performance accountability and implement corrective supervisory action, as warranted.
* Provide coverage as needed to meet clinic and client needs.
* Facilitate professional development opportunities to support quality service provision.
* Actively seeks guidance, consultation, and direction from the supervisor and members of the treatment team. Comes prepared to clinical supervision sessions and utilizes them as a means to improve clinical skills and expertise.
* Participates in required staff meetings and designated training.
* Attends other educational training to maintain skills.
* Keep credential up to date including completion of required continuing education units (CEUs). The Agency provides many training opportunities, but some CEUs may need to be collected externally to meet individual needs.
* Those hired with master's degrees only and/or provisional licensure must take all steps necessary to complete licensure.
