Collaborate with communications team to update content to the parish website, bulletin, social media and other communication tools
Event planning of Parish Lenten Mission, parish social events (Festival and Trunk or Treat) and promote Diocesan events.
Recommend changes in ministry practices or procedures for adult ministries (i.e. new parishioner engagement).
Develop adult programming such as music events, education programs, Lenten/advent book gifts and coordinating book clubs in cooperation with Adult Evangelization Coordinator

Skills/Qualifications

Must be a member of a Roman Catholic parish community with an active and deep Roman Catholic faith. And participates in the communal worship and life of the Church.
A strict adherence to a professional code of conduct, observing confidentiality and appropriate/professional boundaries

Prepare and maintain equipment (e.g. sharpen, lubricate and inspect blades; change oil and filters and fuel; transport fuel)
Remove wreaths, grave blankets, and artificial flowers in spring.
Straighten monuments
Assist with full burials, coordinate all burials of cremations, cover graves, assist with set-up and take down of tent for funerals, lead procession to grave
Layout monument foundations
Participate in necessary meetings of the parish
Back up church caretaker as needed
Work with monument companies
Work with Forest Cemetery
Meet with prospective buyers of graves and niches, layout graves so they can see locations
Layout graves for digging
Cut grass, trim and weed as needed (Majority of grass cutting is contracted item)
Other duties as directed
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed outdoors in the Cemetery and in the Cemetery Garage. Some meetings and occasional travel are required. The ability to maintain all information highly confidential.
Job offer is contingent on the successful passing of the mandatory background screening, completion of the VIRTUS “Protecting God's Children” course, and reference checks. Benefits are according to Diocesan policy.
