This TNA assignment will serve as a bridge to the CNA Training Program and assist with resident care by providing unit support with the non-direct care activities listed below. This assignment will allow the potential CNA trainee to get a glimpse of the CNA experience from a non-direct care perspective; through observation and direct participation.
Job Description
Make resident beds
Transport residents to activities and meals
Answer call bells
Answer unit phone
Check and stock supplies
Collect plates and cups after dining
Put away laundry/Labeling clothes for laundry
Check resident rooms for amenities
Alert nursing staff of resident needs as necessary
Perform Enhanced Observation of a resident/patient as assigned, to ensure safety, comfort and companionship.
Documents resident/patient behaviors, activities hourly in Behavior Book when assigned as to Enhanced Observation.
Other duties as assigned
Grounds monitor of the residents
Qualifications
A Nurse Aide Assistant doesn't require a GED/High school diploma but to enter into our Nurse Aide Training Class you do need to either one.

Position Description:
A Nursing Assistant's (NA) scope of practice includes helping patients with basic care and activities of daily living. They work under the supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses.
Responsibilities:
* Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate and temperature
* Help patients move about the room and guide them in doing range-of-motion exercises
* Supports and actively contributes to the achievement of the patient's goals associated with the plan of care.
