Technologists perform a wide variety of exams from Cardiac CT to 3D Interventional Procedures. As the only Trauma One center in the state of NH, we perform many high acuity CT exams. In addition, we have a Stroke team, and technologists perform CT exams following strict protocol. We also have a dedicated 3D Lab and 2 CTIR Suites, giving CT technologists the opportunity to subspecialize within the CT section. Our CT staff perform at the highest potential of their license. The CT Technologist performs computerized axial tomography procedures and maintains equipment and supplies. We have a strong dedicated team of technologists providing both high quality and high acuity patient care. This is a Full Time, 40hr per week, benefitted position. Monday - Friday 10hr shifts. DH Offers You: Employees hired to work at least 0.50 FTE (20 hours per week) and their eligible dependents may participate in Dartmouth Health benefit plans on the employee's first day of employment. Medical Insurance: Two medical plans available through Anthem BC/BS: Employees also receive a base employer contribution of 4% of biweekly pay plus a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) that is matched with a Health Savings Account and a PPO Plan that features higher premiums balanced by copays and lower deductibles. Retirement: Employee contributions are vested immediately. Biweekly matching contribution of 50% on up to 4% of pay saved-for a maximum match of 2% of pay. Paid Time Off: Paid time off is accrued per pay period based on hours worked. This includes six paid holidays. Shift Differential:10% evening, 20% night, and 15% weekend shift differentials when applicable. Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $3,000 per year. Dental Vision Responsibilities Performs Computed Tomography procedures. Reviews medical record for patient history and pertinent information. Reviews requisition with physician. Administers contrast material, according to physician's request, by means of an existing IV line or by performing venipuncture and placing IV line; recognizes and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reaction. Determines most suitable patient position for optimum imaging, protocol and patient comfort. Uses all equipment properly and in a manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients. Follows ALARA principles. Evaluates images and sends to PACS. Reviews data on scanner and in PACS. Performs multi-plane reconstruction, reformats and 3D according to protocol. Reviews studies for overall quality. Identifies and highlights any unexpected findings not included in the initial exam request and promptly notifies the radiologist. Organizes daily work schedule and responds to emergencies as they occur. Performs daily calibration check on equipment; cleans and performs minor maintenance procedures. Logs problems and usage; alerts Team Leader as appropriate. Orders and maintains supplies. Instructs medical staff and technologists in unit's operations, as necessary. Participates in continuing education. Trains with IV team prior to performing venous punctures. Performs other duties as required or assigned Qualifications * Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology with 1 year of experience preferred. Required Licensure/Certifications * Registered with the ARRT Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (RT - R) . * Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire. * BLS required within 30 days.
