WHAT YOU'LL DO:
You'll participate in a comprehensive program to develop the skills required to provide holistic financial advice to clients. You will actively contribute to classroom discussion, participate in goal setting sessions and progress evaluation meetings.
You'll gain valuable direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients and pass a sales process competency test.
You'll cultivate and sustain prospecting skills such as research, targeting, networking, communication and more through use of personal networks, community events, and social media.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Successfully meet all trainee program requirements, gaining the skills and knowledge needed to excel.
Obtain the required insurance licenses prior to starting the job, with up to two attempts allowed for the Life and Health exam.
Pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing, with securities licensing required within 24 months of entry into the program.
Be highly self-motivated and results-oriented, working both independently and as part of a team.
Be able to travel up to 50% of the time, hold and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license, and have access to reliable transportation for meetings and appointments.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area
OR
* Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area
OR
* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area
AND
* Knowledge of data collection and analysis
* Microsoft Office experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Insurance industry knowledge applicable to underwriting rules and procedures
* Knowledge of agriculture, livestock, and/or multi-peril crop insurance and specialty programs
* Superior skills in relationship building, active listening with customers and co-workers
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Customer service experience
* Enjoys working with details and providing accurate data and/or information in a timely manner

The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. For this position, the salary is $23.37 - $38.22, plus a short-term incentive bonus of 5%.

* Assisting with gathering data for external auditors
* Assisting with the preparation of audited financial statements and notes
* At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will prepare a presentation outlining their internship experience to the accounting operations team and Human Resources
Minimum Requirements:
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Sophomore, Junior or Senior level at the time of internship)
