    The Accreditation Manager oversees daily operations of the Accreditation Department. This role includes reviewing and preparing assessment reports for the External Review Board (ERB) and for facility notification of assessment results. The Accreditation Manager assists with recruitment, training and timely communication for assessors and ERB members. They will work with facilities to assign and evaluate corrective action plans if required. This role includes responding to inquiries about compliance with the Baby-Friendly USA (BFUSA) Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria (GEC). They support the department by implementing evolving technology and new initiatives impacting Accreditation and BFUSA as assigned. The role requires limited travel only when necessary. Essential Functions: Oversight of the assessment team including assessors and the assessment coordinator. Cooperative assessment report reviews with Accreditation team members, assignment of ERB members for assessment review, ballot collection, ERB meeting facilitation, ERB recruitment and training. Assessment technology interface and pilots. Assisting with Assessment tool development. Review of complaints when received. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing with demonstrated maternity care experience and/or Certified Lactation Consultant who has a bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to work with breastfeeding families, preferred. Required instead of bachelor's degree: a related associate degree with IBCLC (Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant), CLC, or RD or 2 or more years experience with the BFHI (Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative). Excellent writing, critical thinking and speaking skills. Moderate comfort with Microsoft products outside of the normal tools of word and excel. Designated private office space in home environment when assigned remote work and secure internet access with uninterrupted streaming bandwidth for video calls. This is a 100% computer and video-conferencing job. Must be able to sit for long periods of time, use near vision on computer screen and use two screens to complete work.

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Manage all components of farm and animal care operations of the Teaching Dairy including oversight of approximately 175 adult cattle and 150 calves and heifers. * Ensure the animals' feeding, housing, milking, breeding, observation, and treatment needs are met through compliance with protocols, policies, and specifications of the Ambulatory section, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, dairy cooperative, and other relevant stakeholders. * Supervise and lead UAW staff members, which involves prioritizing tasks and projects, determining daily work assignments, preparing and coordinating weekly work schedules. * Mentor and foster the development of those under your supervision by providing ongoing training and feedback.
