About the Program and Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor Position: Our Transitional Foster Care Program for Unaccompanied Children (UC) overseen by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), ensures the well-being and safety of unaccompanied children (ages 0-17) who cross the US Southern border without an adult. Unlike traditional congregate care settings, our approach involves placing unaccompanied children in foster homes while diligently searching for and assessing potential sponsors identified in the US. During their stay with us, we provide medical care, case management, engaging life skills classes, and essential mental health services. The Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor serve some of the most vulnerable children in the world and play a critical role in finding foster families to take in these refugee children and provide them with a safe place to live. They are an important resource to foster families and ensure the safety of the children we serve by maintaining proper certification of each foster home. This role requires a high level of compassion and drive in order to meet the needs of the unaccompanied children we serve. How you get to use your skills as an Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor… Screen and educate prospective foster parents to understand the needs of children and youth, and how following our models of care meets those needs Recruit, train, and facilitate certification of foster parents. The Admission Specialist will coordinate the initial program orientation, preparation of materials and supervision of children and documentation needed during the admissions process. About the Program and Foster Care Counselor Position: Treatment Family Foster Care (TFFC) is a research-informed, multi-tiered team approach to rebuilding family relationships. We work with children and teens (ages 0-21) who need high levels of support due to trauma they have experienced in their homes or communities. Each youth is carefully matched to foster parents, and a treatment plan specific to the needs of the youth is developed. Our foster parents are provided enhanced trauma-informed training and wraparound services to ensure the placement is secure until permanency is achieved. We serve youth and families by teaming with Local Department of Social Services officials, Office of Child and Family Services, Office of People With Developmental Disabilities, and community resource partners to provide bundled, strength-based, therapeutic interventions that change children's lives. Foster Care Counselor coordinate treatment planning and delivery for all program youth and families. A clinician strives to build a partnership between the youth, foster family, and biological family; provides treatment in the forms of individual and family therapy to these assigned youth and families; and maintains professionalism in all areas, including confidentiality. Our clinicians MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of children and families using a trauma informed lens by working on a treatment team that believes that every child matters and that all people have strengths. About the Program and Assistant Director of Case Management Position: Our Transitional Foster Care Program for Unaccompanied Children (UC), overseen by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), ensures the well-being and safety of unaccompanied children (ages 0-17) who cross the US border without an adult. Unlike traditional congregate care settings, our approach involves placing unaccompanied children in foster homes while diligently searching for and assessing potential sponsors identified in the US. During their stay with us, we provide medical care, case management, engaging life skills classes, and essential mental health services. Under the supervision of the Director of Case Management, the Assistant Director of Case Management will assist in the oversite of Case Managers working within the Unaccompanied Children Program. This staff will audit the qualify of the case management procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality services for all youth. How you will get to use your skills as Assistant Director of Case Management…. Coordinate and oversee each minor's initial intake requirements, assessments, individual service plan, family reunification, and discharge Train, supervise, and manage the daily operations of up to 12 Case Managers at a given time Responsible for case management services for the unaccompanied children assigned to your team; carry as small caseload (as assigned) Submit daily Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) required reports.     CATHOLIC GUARDIAN SERVICES Therapist, Functional Family Therapy for Child Welfare (FFT-CW) DEPARTMENT: Child Welfare/Family Support Services REPORTS TO: FFT-CW Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FFT-CW is an adaptation of Functional Family Therapy (FFT) developed to help families involved in the child welfare system. The model integrates assessment, supervision and intervention, using the three-phase service model seen in FFT, and targets family functioning. Treatment focuses on family violence, domestic violence, child abuse/neglect, drug use and mental illness. After a full assessment, families are assigned to either a Low Risk or a High Risk track. Families in the Low Risk track receive ongoing support and services from an FFT-CW Interventionist who links families with community services and programs and assesses and monitors the progress of youth and parents. Families in the High Risk track receive services through FFT-CW Therapists. FFT-CW teams are composed of Interventionists, Therapists, and a Supervisor. The program operates under the overall direction of the FFT-CW Project Manager. Responsibilities Carry a caseload as assigned Provide home-based FFT-CW services to families by: (a) Assessing family needs at intake (b) Working with families through therapeutic sessions (c) Identifying the progress of the family and when the family will be ready to cease receipt of services (d) Meeting with the family on a frequent, intensive basis in their home. Perform ongoing case analysis through the FFT Clinical Services System Actively participate as part of the therapy team Assist families by actively referring them to appropriate services and supports Assist families with both clinical and concrete services Monitor the functioning of the family through home visits, and regular communication with the ACS liaison, Educational Specialist and Resource Specialist. Submit reports to QM Department and management staff as needed. Perform the basic accountability tasks related to the job, which include compiling and maintaining all necessary records. Assist administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness Work evenings and weekends to accommodate family schedules. Share a rotating on-call schedule to ensure that CGS is providing family support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Participate in ongoing training and implementation support from FFT, Inc. Participate in case conferences. Perform other duties as requested Respond in a positive and respectful manner to diversity, among the agency's service population and staff LMSW required
