About the Program and Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor Position: Our Transitional Foster Care Program for Unaccompanied Children (UC) overseen by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), ensures the well-being and safety of unaccompanied children (ages 0-17) who cross the US Southern border without an adult. Unlike traditional congregate care settings, our approach involves placing unaccompanied children in foster homes while diligently searching for and assessing potential sponsors identified in the US. During their stay with us, we provide medical care, case management, engaging life skills classes, and essential mental health services. The Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor serve some of the most vulnerable children in the world and play a critical role in finding foster families to take in these refugee children and provide them with a safe place to live. They are an important resource to foster families and ensure the safety of the children we serve by maintaining proper certification of each foster home. This role requires a high level of compassion and drive in order to meet the needs of the unaccompanied children we serve. How you get to use your skills as an Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor… Screen and educate prospective foster parents to understand the needs of children and youth, and how following our models of care meets those needs Recruit, train, and facilitate certification of foster parents. Training may include: PRIDE, TCIF, TST, NTDC, MAPP, or equivalent state training Conduct initial and follow-up training of foster parents Certify Foster Homes and maintain compliance with ORR and OCFS policies and procedures Build relationships with community leaders and mobilize agency staff, partners, and existing foster parents to help recruit new foster parents and raise awareness about foster care Track and maintain foster home years certification Ensure each foster home is equipped with tools and resources to provide a safe and healthy lifestyle for the population served Maintain proper communication with foster parents Serve as a resource and trouble-shooter to foster families; maintain motivation and treatment participation of foster parents, and ensure a good working relationship with foster parents Conduct biweekly foster parent meetings Travel within the 5 boroughs Responsible for maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of those served Required Experience of a Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor: Associate's degree with 2 years of UC experience - required Experience working in a busy human services office - strongly preferred Child welfare experience - strongly preferred Strong communication and organizational skills - required Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) - required Bilingual: English/Spanish - required Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner Demonstrated ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to exercise greater judgement Physical Requirements of a Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor: Computer work requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time Time on your feet for up to several hours a day Lifting up to 50 pounds Travel within the 5 boroughs Schedule for a Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor: Exempt Regular hours entail Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm, must be flexible to meet program needs Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, holidays, and weekends - required Why Cayuga Centers?     Job Title: Talent Acquisition Coordinator Operations Job Type: 6+ Months (Possibility of Extension) Pay Rate: $27/hr on W2 Job Description: Our client is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support our dynamic and fast-paced Talent Acquisition team. This highly visible role is critical to creating a seamless candidate experience and ensuring the success of our recruiting efforts across the organization. We're looking for someone with recruitment coordination experience who thrives in a high-volume environment, has a sharp eye for detail, and can think creatively to solve scheduling challenges with minimal supervision. Responsibility: • Schedule a high volume of interviews (approximately 35-70 per week), panel interviews, and candidate travel arrangements • Coordinate with hiring managers, recruiters, and interviewers to align availability and ensure smooth execution • Book conference rooms and send timely confirmation emails to candidates • Facilitate onboarding tasks, including orientation scheduling, background check coordination, and fingerprint scheduling for Florida backgrounds • Manage and update job postings through our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Workday • Serve as a point of contact for candidates, ensuring a positive and professional experience Qualification: 2-3 years of experience as a Recruiting Coordinator or in a similar fast-paced administrative support role Strong scheduling skills with the ability to juggle multiple calendars(Outlook) and priorities under tight deadlines A strong customer service mindset and commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate experience High attention to detail and a knack for spotting errors or inconsistencies Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box when faced with scheduling conflicts or changes Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and calendar management tools Experience using Workday or similar HRIS/ATS systems preferred Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Organized, dependable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment and partnering with all levels of leadership Preferred Qualification: Experience with children's books, cookbooks, photography books, or other highly illustrated titles preferred.
