Performs a variety of duties in the operations area on a daily basis, while also assisting customers via phone call or in-person with inquiries or issues. Exhibits excellent customer service skills and the ability to be solution-focused with problems that may arise. Works effectively with other areas of the Bank to resolve issues as needed, while also identifying potential opportunities for improvement and/or training across the Bank. Job Responsibilities: Primary: Processes or performs by appropriate deadlines daily tasks such as, but not limited to: NSF Payment Decisions, ACH origination and incoming files, Foreign & Domestic Wire Transfers, Unposted Items, Exception Reports, Status Change Reports, Telephone Banking, ATM Settlement and Maintenance, Bounce Protection Program, Check Adjustments, Closed Account Maintenance, Deposit Corrections, ACH and check Returns, Garnishments and Levies, Mobile Banking deposits and review, Holds on checks, Branch Recap, Debit card maintenance, daily reconcilements, and overall support of deposit operations systems and tasks. Answer all incoming bank calls and customer inquiries. For example, balance inquiries, account transfers, troubleshooting basic customer issues, and other online banking related inquiries. Performs daily duties while looking for ways to streamline processes and create efficiencies, through utilizing technology and the bank's core systems. Monitor GLs and performs account reconciliations daily, and monthly as needed. Develops and maintains procedural documentation of relevant tasks/responsibilities. Supports other teams within the Bank to resolve customer issues, processing related issues, and overall enhancement and support of Bank's products and systems. Assists with ad-hoc requests as needed. Other duties as assigned. Prioritizes work according to necessity, complexity and deadlines. Acts as an advocate for the Bank in all interactions both internally and externally. Attend regular trainings/seminars both inside and outside the bank, as needed. Works harmoniously and collaboratively with team members to accomplish bank objectives. Other: Provide exemplary customer service. Punctual, reliable attendance. Assist with other duties as assigned. May be required to work remotely with provided equipment, while branches may be closed due to unexpected circumstances such as weather. Job Requirements: Education: HS Diploma or equivalent; advanced courses in business, accounting, or similar a plus. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Training and Experience: Minimum of 1 year of prior banking experience; financial institution Operations experience and/or Retail Banking experience preferred. Analytical and customer service skills as well as familiarity with regulations governing financial institutions. Good interpersonal communication, problem solving and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment. Extraordinary attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Successful completion of in-house training program. Displays the confidence and competence to gain/maintain the Bank's credibility. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience Requirements Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred. Otherwise, a non-related undergraduate degree and combination of training and experience will be considered. 5 years of transaction monitoring, KYC, sanctions, fraud, or investigative experience in BSA/AML.
