**The opportunity**
The Strategic Procurement Advisor (SPA) creates and drives strategic relationships with client procurement teams, specifically the CPO, to positively position EY for competitive and sole source revenue generating opportunities and other account expansion activities. As a Senior Manager in our Global Trade practice, you will use your experience and technical knowledge to be a leader of the U.S. duty drawback program, focusing your responsibility for the programs ongoing development, management and growth of the service offering. The role will oversee the preparation and filing drawback claims in strict compliance with all applicable U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. The role will require proactive development of new client relationships with those executives responsible for the management of global trade functional areas within their companies.
**Your key responsibilities**
**Client Delivery & Technical Leadership**
+ Lead and oversee end-to-end drawback programs: opportunity assessments, scoping, data diagnostics, rule mapping, claim build, filings, and accelerated payment readiness.
+ Interpret and apply 19 CFR Part 190 (TFTEA), including substitution standards, manufacturing drawback, unused/returned merchandise, rejected merchandise, and waste/by‑product treatment.
+ Design methodology for commercial interchangeability and substitution under TFTEA; establish defensible correlation across HTS classifications, specifications, and supply chain documentation.
+ Architect data models linking import entries (CBP/ACE) to exports (AES), bills of materials, production records, inventory movements, and sales-ensuring auditability and chain-of-custody.
+ Manage claim calculations, duty/tax/fee components (including MPF, HMF where applicable), timelines, and retroactive lookback periods; oversee reconciliation and prior disclosure strategies when appropriate.
+ Prepare clients for CBP audits, exams, and desk reviews; draft and review technical memos, legal/regulatory interpretations, and internal controls documentation.
+ Drive process automation (e.g., Alteryx/SQL/Python), dashboards (Power BI/Tableau), and ACE data extraction workflows to improve accuracy and throughput.

+ Drive the firm's duty drawback value proposition: develop thought leadership, solution collateral, pricing models, and delivery playbooks.
+ Partner with industry teams (Consumer, Retail, Industrials, Automotive, Life Sciences, Technology, Chemicals) to tailor sector-specific methodologies.
+ Lead pursuits: discovery, proposal writing, oral presentations, scoping, and contracting; meet or exceed bookings, margin, and utilization targets.

The Opportunity
As part of the Software and Product Innovation team you are responsible for managing the identification and addressing of client needs, including building GenAI and AI solutions, documenting business processes, and designing AI/GenAI architectures. As a Senior Associate you are tasked with analyzing complex problems, mentoring others, and maintaining elevated standards. You are expected to focus on building client relationships, developing a deeper understanding of the business context, and navigating increasingly complex situations to enhance your personal brand and technical knowledge.

What You Must Have

- Designing AI/GenAI architectures for clients

- Utilizing Python and common LLM development frameworks
- Experience in Machine Learning and Advanced Learning

The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise related to investment questions and issues in support of servicing clients
Establish strong relationships with vendors, record-keepers, investment managers, and custodians
Gather and maintain market intelligence related to products, services, and value propositions
Review and modify the Investment Policy based on needs of the Plan Sponsor to ensure compliance and consistency
Provide general client service and problem resolution services
Prepare agenda items and content for client meetings
Assist with the presentation of investment reviews with clients
Work with service team on investment review action items/follow ups
Perform due diligence and commentaries on investment managers
Perform investment assessment and analysis for the entry and removal of preferred fund lists
Cover asset class for preferred fund list
Assist with and complete strategic projects on a quarterly basis
Produce reports using investment software programs such as Morningstar Direct and Envestnet
Manage client requests for proposals for plan recordkeepers/vendors
Provide individual and global investment advice to plan participants as needed in conjunction with Retirement Plan Education Specialist

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or other areas that contain strong analytical course content

High School Diploma or GED
At least three years of professional, retirement plan investment advisory experience in a 401(k) and/or 403(b) environment
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices and procedures
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations and professional standards
Proficient use of applicable technology
Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
Series 6 license, plus any other licenses as required by law
Pursuing at least one of the following: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CPFA (Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisory), CIMA (Certified Investment Management Analyst) or other approved credentials or those required by law
Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly
Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
